- Multiple teams race around the globe for $1,000,000 to 'amazing' locations.
- Editor Eckernförde has come into the possession of an audiocassette that contains a recording of the last minutes of deceased politician Uwe Barschel. The circumstances of his untimely death have never been completely resolved - until now. Unfortunately, the editor's daughter Nina accidentally takes the tape with her to Munich, where she is about to visit her paralyzed Mom in a sanatorium. When this information reaches the CIA and the BND, both organizations compete to get hold of the tape. Meanwhile Erkan & Stefan, two loveable wannabe supercheckers from Munich, are assigned as bodyguards for Nina - of course, they are expected to mess up their job, so that the tape can be retrieved. But the two friends prove to be a bit more streetwise than CIA or BND ever expected.
- Featuring one of the era's most beloved male idols, Hans Albers, as the doctor losing control of his dark side, is Viktor Turzanskij's rarely-screened Jekyll-and-Hyde version Vom Teufel gejagt. For added depth and relevance, a colleague who, years before, had assumed the doctor's guilt when an experiment went badly returns to continue their earlier research-besides, his name is tarnished anyway, where else could he go? It's difficult to not see this very elegantly dispassionate piece (a curious predecessor to the soon rising Arztfilm-wave) as an attempt to discuss its star's and auteur's involvement with the Nazi-era film industry: Albers starred in Herbert Selpin's world-weary anti-British epopee Carl Peters (1941), and Turzanskij directed (and co-wrote) the edgy anti-Polish, anti-labor drama Feinde (1940).
- Flight captain Schneider and his crew are given the assignment in Munich to take over a repaired aircraft in Bangkok, Thailand, and fly back to Germany.
- 2001– 44mTV-PG7.4 (50)TV EpisodeOne duo gets lost on the way to the Road Block and ends up at the Pit Stop instead. Will this mistake jeopardize their position in the Race? Competition heats up between three Teams as they frantically try to locate a marked piece of clothing among 2400 pieces of laundry. One Team member has a meltdown while trying to piece together a statue.
- 2001– 44mTV-PG7.4 (63)TV EpisodeThe teams start by traveling to France. Transportation confusion with trains and jets causes some teams into the lead to fall behind, while others reach the route marker in France early. There, they're surprised to find themselves faced with a Roadblock rather than a Detour. The Roadblock involves changing the tires on a race car and then doing a lap with a professional driver. All teams successfully complete the task and then head to the next location, a lighthouse over 500 miles away. However, they find themselves all bunched together by the morning opening hours.
- 2001– 44mTV-PG7.7 (72)TV EpisodeThe six teams depart from the Pit Stop in Marrakesh and learn that they need to fly to Munich, Germany, 1,500 miles away. Once there they must make their way to a statue called Friedensengel and locate Kasperle, a famous German and Austrian children's puppet to find their next clue. Teams scramble for flight connections while others get standby tickets. Once there, teams are told to travel 50 miles by train to Innsbruck, Austria where teams discover a Fast Forward, involving a surfer. For one lucky team, this break allows them to travel directly to the Pit Stop. The other five teams encounter a Detour involving either going bobsledding or completing a relay race. Upon completing the task, teams next arrive at the Roadblock location where one team member must descend 230 feet on rescue cable to receive their next clue. All teams excel on this task. Near the end, teams find themselves in a foot race against other teams to avoid last place and a possible elimination, but one team stumbles, costing them the race.
- 2001– 44mTV-PG7.6 (65)TV EpisodeThe ten remaining teams travel from Stechelberg, Switzerland to Salzburg, Austria. En route to the Road Block at Ruhpolding, Germany, they ride a cable car to the top of a mountain. One person has to make a game-changing decision when a groin injury puts his team's destiny in Mother Nature's hands, while a wrong turn leads to the hopes of another person being pinned to some help from a stranger.
- 2001– 44mTV-PG7.8 (65)TV EpisodeThe nine remaining teams travel from Salzburg, Austria to Brasov, Romania. At the Detour, some teams scour the Transylvanian countryside for buried coffins. An unexpected plane landing sends one front running team to the back of the pack.
- The seven remaining teams travel from Schwangau-Horn, Germany to Baku, Azerbaijan. Two teams find out how well they stack up when they hit the hay for a Fast Forward, while several teams break out the sponges for an oily Detour choice.
