But he is probably best known for his gritty performances as 'Big Danny' in the UK stage tour of 'The Hardman' (hard-hitting life story of Scottish gangster Jimmy Boyle based on Boyle's own book, 'Sense Of Freedom'), and as Victorian stage icon 'Henry Irving' for American stage director Elizabeth Sharland in her London production of "A Shakespeare Anthology".
