It's always hard to change something with such a huge fanbase as DW has.
Indeed, Disney isn't doing too well, lately, so it was predictable that we could have found something cheesy and some boring and poor writing. Actors performances are quite mediocre, sometimes you have a feeling the character keeps a secret, or is suggesting something different from what words are meaning, but then no. I'm not blaming actors, up to this moment I've not seen enough to clearly understand if this is really what direct wanted them to.
But overall just as soon as you watch, you know it's Disney.
And fitting a cult show like Doctor Who into Disney frame is a bit of a diminishing kind of turn.
Is it worth watching? I'll try again, but at the moment I firmly doubt it.
