In the episode about the radio tower, one thing really bothered me. Even if they were lucky enough to get a real person on the other end to answer him, what was Jim supposed to say? "Um, we're stuck inside this town filled with monsters that I don't know where it is with a bunch of other people who came from all over the United States by taking a bad detour around a fallen tree and wound up in the same spot. Please help." How soon would it be before the other person cut him off. "We're in no mood for your practical jokes." How did Jim think that would get them home? How come no one else, especially Jade, brought that up to Jim?
It took me awhile but I finally thought of a way to put some believability into his plea for help if he could keep the person on the other end on the line long enough. If he could get everyone else's name and address and where they are from and told that to the person on the other end of the line, putting all those missing people together might be newsworthy and seem believable but still don't know how anyone could help them.
