While not as good as the first 3 series, I think sevens was the convention breaking series we've needed for a few years. A more slice of life/low stakes series isn't for everyone but I think it's a good change that reflects the faster pace of rush duels and offers an easier intro to it than the main series has been for the main game since arc-v. It's the first series since 5ds that feels like it wanted to give focus and proper development to the entire main cast rather than the main lead, the rival, and the best friend of you're lucky. Also this might be the funniest Yu-Gi-Oh! Series since GX which is is nice. I will admit the villains are nothing special and some decisions like yuga losing so much feels like pushback from the previous shows but these things were never deal breakers for me. It's not gonna win any best anime awards but for a Yu-Gi-Oh! Series that just wants to have fun I had a good time. Yah the dub can be awkward sometimes but it's 4K, what did you expect? At least it got dubbed.
