The Doctor and Jo have to escape the mine, all is not well at Global Chemicals.
It's a great game of power politics, friends in high places, big business trumping all else.
This episode features one of the most iconic scenes in the show's history, The Doctor and Jo crossing the maggot infested mine. It gets a little bit of flack for being a bit clunky, but this was 1973, they made great use of budget and imagination. The lighting is excellent, it still looks very good.
Katie is very good, Jo's reaction to the death of poor Bert, Blodwyn, so lovely. Still she gets a little bit of romance.
