Presence (I) (2024)

"Presence" is a good horror-drama film told from a unique perspective.

"Presence" is an unusual horror film told from the perspective of a ghost who inhabits a house where a family has just moved in. "In a Violent Nature" was told from the perspective of the killer; in "Presence," as I mentioned, it's told from the perspective of the entity, which, rather than being an antagonist, is a dramatic element that proves poetic within a story that emphasizes family drama and the loss of a loved one. The performances of the entire cast are realistic and effective in every scene, with Lucy Liu, Callina Liang, Eddy Maday, Chris Sullivan, and West Mulholland standing out. The cinematography is visually simple but effective with the camera movements, especially in bringing the viewer back into the "presence." "Presence" is a good horror-drama film told from a unique perspective.
