Rao Meka is originally from India. He moved to the US and graduated with a Masters in Industrial Engineering from New Mexico State University before moving to San Francisco to work for various high-tech start-up companies. He founded the software company shopVOX in 2009, the first cloud-based software for the graphics industry, now in 26 countries. In 2018, he founded 1729 Pictures to produce high quality entertainment. He is on the advisory board for LegionM, and enjoys oil-painting, philosophy, and moonlights as a stand-up comic.
He is a Co-Producer on the film "My Dead Friend Zoe", starring Morgan Freeman and Ed Harris. He is also an Executive Producer on the film, The Knife.
