Sergio Caballero(VIII)

Sergio Caballero is an award-winning filmmaker based in Brooklyn. Brazilian by birth, Spanish by blood, and New Yorker by choice, Sergio's films draw from a diverse cultural background to spotlight stories about characters with identity conflicts. Characters who get what they need, not what they want. His work has screened at festivals, including Dances With Films, New York International Children's Film Festival, and Cannes Court Metráge. He has directed various commercials and music videos showcasing his versatility across media and budgets. Caballero is in pre-production to direct his debut film "Quixotic Avenue," a slice of life that captures a Latino rocker's poetic struggle against the changing landscape of New York City and the challenges of single parenting while holding onto a dream. Sergio co-owns Illumine Films with his partner in life and cinema, Kristina Kim.
