With his extensive background, Bobby has given lectures across the globe on topics including retail, manufacturing, interior design and licensing, among many others.
From Missouri to Texas to Denver, Bobby grew up quickly at a young age and faced many challenges before settling in New York in his 20s. Driven to pursue his passion for interior design, he immersed himself in the retail world, working his way up in companies like Bed Bath & Beyond and Restoration Hardware. Bobby's determination, specific creative eye, and love for people soon earned him the title of Creative Director for Portico Home + Spa.
In 2006, Bobby started his own company and opened his first showroom in lower Manhattan the following year, eventually expanding the business nationwide. Years later, in 2015, he launched his full-service bespoke interior design practice for residential, commercial, and hospitality clientele.
Most recently, Bobby released his first book, Right at Home: How Good Design Is Good For The Mind, available now. Right at Home demonstrates that good design can aid mental wellness and help achieve a new sense of happiness within the home. When Bobby is not running his design practice or filming, he spends his time in Los Angeles, where he resides with his husband, Dewey, and their dog, Bimini.
