Mikael Deckelbaum is an Israeli, Canadian, American actor, legal to work in all three locales. He is currently set to play the lead in the off-Broadway production of "In the Woods Somewhere" at the 59E59th theatre. He has played lead, and supporting roles in multiple indie features, short films and plays. Mikael is fluent in English, Hebrew and gets by in French as well. While continuing to take weekly on camera classes with Bob Krakower's Eric Reis, Mikael has also graduated from William Esper Studio in NYC and completed improv training at both UCB and The PIT.
Mikael can play through a range of accents, from Israeli, Middle eastern, Russian, to French, English, Cockney, Irish, and Scottish.
Prior to acting Mikael was a successful futures trader, the founder of two companies, and a biotech consultant. In his teens, he was a ranked slalom water skier in Canada, and loves to kitesurf, wingfoil, wakesurf, wakefoil, scuba dive and pretty much anything in the water. He is licensed to drive cars, boats ( 30' and under/pleasure craft), rides motorcycles, and has experience riding horses as well.
