Japanese record company Nippon Columbia has announced that actor Hikaru Makishima 's new digital single "Phoenix" will be available on digital services on October 8, 2024. The rock tune will be featured as the ending theme for the upcoming fall 2024 TV anime Haigakura . Makishima made his professional acting debut in 2015, and is well known for his role as Kaoru Kaido in The Prince of Tennis musicals (2016-2018), Ookurikara in the Touken Ranbu musicals (2019-2023), and the protagonist, Shinra Kusakabe in the Fire Force stage plays (2020-2022). "Phoenix" is his first anime theme song work. The press release says that the song is a refreshing rock number and that his extended vocals are also pleasant.
