Cory Wharton blasted some The Challenge fans, whom he called “dummies,” for their online criticism and suggestions.
The multi-time finalist last appeared on MTV’s Battle of the Eras, where he participated in Era 3 alongside champions Jordan Wiseley, Tori Deal, and Jonna Mannion.
While it appeared Cory was on the verge of reaching yet another final for The Challenge, castmate Derek Chavez defeated him in an elimination, sending him home.
With Season 40 over, attention shifted to All Stars Rivals, as the spinoff airs on MTV.
Some of Cory’s friends and castmates are part of the cast, including Devin Walker, Leroy Garrett, Nany Gonzalez, and Ashley Kelsey.
He recently called out specific fans, or critics, for how they attempt to tell him and other Challengers what strategy is best.

If Johnny Bananas were to appear on The Challenge: All Stars Rivals, he would likely have a group of suitable teammates.
One of the most notable would be former show winner Sarah Rice, who stopped doing The Challenge after her infamous reality TV moment with Bananas as her partner.
Fittingly, she and Bananas were teammates on one of the original MTV Rivals seasons, with Bananas opting to leave her penniless and keep all the prize money after they won the final.
Sarah previously won Battle of the Exes II with Jordan Wiseley as her teammate. Bananas felt betrayed by Sarah, whom he’d considered a friend and ally that season.
Since leaving the competition show, she’s succeeded in her professional career and co-hosts a podcast with Susie Meister, another Challenge alum.
The duo recently spoke with their former castmate, Ryan Kehoe, and they all shared thoughts about Bananas.

Ashley “Millionaire” Mitchell officially returned to The Challenge after a brief hiatus, appearing in MTV’s All Stars Rivals spin-off.
During the recent premiere, host Tj Lavin welcomed her back, although he didn’t mention her mysterious exit from Spies, Lies & Allies.
For the show, she’s teamed up with someone she’s feuded with previously, castmate Aneesa Ferreira.
Viewers saw Ashley call out her teammate in a trailer, referring to her as a “pick me girl” who tries to be friends with everybody.
Interestingly enough, one of Aneesa’s close friends is Tori Deal, with whom she appeared on The Challenge: Battle of the Eras.
In a new video, Ashley blasted both of her The Challenge castmates and particularly criticized Tori, who is not in the All Stars Rivals cast.

Melissa Reeves revealed she’s unsure if she’ll be able to watch all of The Challenge: All Stars 5 season and encouraged fans to “please be nice.”
The former Total Madness finalist returned for MTV’s Battle For a New Champion, where she ultimately lost to former castmate Tori Deal in an elimination.
Now she’s part of the All Stars Rivals season, which recently premiered on MTV, featuring cast members paired with castmates with whom they have a rival or feud.
Melissa is Nicole Zanatta’s All-Stars partner. They hooked up during a past season of the show, but nothing further developed between them.
However, Nicole dated their other castmate, Laurel Stucky, which ended in a messy breakup.
Later, during a Season 39 reunion trip, Laurel and Melissa got together and posted some steamy photos on social media, which seems to be the basis of Melissa and Nicole’s “rivalry” on All Stars.

There had been a debate for quite a while regarding the greatest of all time on The Challenge.
Many fans argued in favor of Johnny Bananas due to the number of seasons won, while others mentioned Chris “Ct” Tamburello as the show’s all-time best.
However, the arrival of The Real World: Portland’s Jordan Wiseley seemingly settled the debate for many fans.
And according to his former fiancee, Tori Deal, there’s no question regarding the Goat debate.
“Jordan. It’s not a question,” she said when asked who the greatest of all time is on The Challenge Fandom Podcast.
She explained that he’s “not perfect” and has flaws in the game but has officially stamped his name on the franchise.

Paulie Calafiore blasted The Challenge’s Karma Vote for its impact on the Battle of the Eras final.
According to the two-time MTV finalist, the Season 40 twist “slighted” one competitor in the finish and “tarnished” another’s win.
Competitors eliminated throughout the season participated in the Karma Vote. They gave each of the remaining cast members one to five points based on how they felt about them.
A one was the lowest score someone could give, while a five was the highest. These scores were factored into how competitors finished in the final standings.
During the final, Jordan Wiselely dominated on the men’s side. The Karma Vote didn’t matter as he won his fifth Challenge championship, but the women’s side featured a closer battle.
Jenny West finished atop the leaderboard, followed by Michele Fitzgerald. However, the Karma Vote dropped Michele to third, giving her $50,000 less prize money.

Jenny West was one of three winners of MTV’s The Challenge: Battle of the Eras, but some fans weren’t happy she even reached the final.
The Total Madness winner returned after several years away from the competition series and performed impressively in her second-straight final.
Due to a Karma Vote twist, which many fans disagreed with, she finished in a tie for first place with her friend and ally, Rachel Robinson.
However, she also won several daily challenges to gain safety from eliminations or power in the game.
One of those daily challenges caused controversy, as Jordan Wiseley and fans pointed out that she hadn’t finished her puzzle correctly after MTV aired Episode 17.
Despite that, host Tj Lavin announced her as the winner. It meant she was safe from consideration for elimination. It also gave Jenny the power to choose who faced the daily challenge loser, Tori Deal,...

The Challenge: Battle of the Eras season officially concluded as eight competitors ran, or swam, through the final.
It featured a dominant performance on the men’s side, as Jordan Wiseley outdid his fellow finalists every step of the way.

However, the Karma Vote twist came into play later, and while it didn’t affect the men’s standings, it certainly impacted the women’s.

The Challenge: Battle of the Eras final officially ended, and the winners were revealed after battling through swimming, singing, coin counting, and puzzles.
After each checkpoint, host Tj Lavin revealed who finished in first place, second, third, and fourth.
However, he didn’t hesitate to remind competitors about the Karma Vote and how it might come back to help or hurt a finalist.
That twist arrived earlier in the season, as Tj told eliminated cast members to stay behind after they lost in eliminations or a purge.
Each could award one to five points to the remaining castmates based on how they felt about them. A one was the lowest score, with five being the highest.
With the finalists unaware of this throughout the season, it meant how they treated others in the game could come back to bite them. Fans voiced frustration, indicating one competitor got “robbed” by the twist in the final standings.

Spoiler Alert: This post contains spoilers from “The End of An Era, Part 2,” the Jan. 8 finale of “The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras,” which aired on MTV.
For one “Challenge” competitor, “Karma’s a relaxing thought.” And for another, it’s the opposite.
The Season 40 finale of “Battle of the Eras” aired on Wednesday night, revealing that the karma votes — each player was able to give 1-5 points to each player before they were sent home — had much more power than some assumed.
After part one of the finale, it was no surprise that part two featured a lot more swimming… and a lot of Jordan Wiseley winning. In fact, Jordan won six individual challenges throughout the season, didn’t go into one elimination and won every single checkpoint during the final.

Zach Nichols slammed The Challenge: Battle of the Eras for its Karma Vote twist, suggesting it could show that the final is “rigged” if Jordan Wiseley loses.
The former Real World star and Battle of the Seasons winner believes viewers are getting to see one of the most dominant performances ever in a final from the multi-time winner.
As of this writing, MTV has aired the first part of the Season 40 final, with Jordan the clear frontrunner among the men, including Derek Chavez, Kyland Young, and seven-time winner Johnny Bananas.
Jordan had finished ahead of his castmates in multiple events, much of which was due to the amount of swimming involved and because he solved puzzles.
To get there, Jordan survived the entire season without facing a single elimination, while his castmate Bananas went in twice and won to keep his spot in the game.

With a fan debate constantly raging over who The Challenge’s all-time greatest competitor is, Johnny Bananas said fan “biases” make some choose other players over him.
Bananas just reached his 11th MTV final on Battle of the Eras and is looking to add to his record of seven seasons won.
However, he’s up against MTV finals newcomers Derek Chavez and Kyland Young and another player mentioned among the greatest: Jordan Wiseley.

Fans of The Challenge expressed frustration with the Battle of the Eras final due to its format and a unique twist introduced earlier in the season.
The first part of the final officially began in the recently aired episode End of an Era Part 1, as the eight finalists started onboard the Sinister ship.
The finalists included former winners Johnny Bananas, Jordan Wiseley, Jenny West, Tori Deal, and Rachel Robinson, as well as first-time MTV finalists Kyland Young, Michele Fitzgerald, and Derek Chavez.
Host Tj Lavin introduced them to the various tasks they’d compete in, which included swimming back and forth from the ship to various locations to complete checkpoints.
After each checkpoint, Tj informed the competitors who finished first through fourth place for the men and women.
However, at the start of the final, Tj informed them that castmates had cast Karma votes throughout the season, which would determine who won.

In Episode 16, viewers saw the competitors come in a first-time-ever event called Fire Plunge. It involved them hotwiring a convertible to get it to start and drive off a cliff.
As the car dove off the cliff, the competitor seated inside was yanked out thanks to a harness they wore. They then dropped into the water and...

The Challenge fans are upset that an unaired scene featuring castmates Johnny Bananas and Cara Maria Sorbello didn’t appear in The Challenge: Battle of the Eras.
Bananas and Cara may have been rivals toward the end of their seasons, but they still had some friendship and respect for each other as star competitors.
As they headed toward the final, Bananas’s allies were his Bananas Angels, which included Jenny West, Rachel Robinson, and Aviv Melmed.
Cara had her allies, including Derek Chavez, Michele Fitzgerald, and, surprisingly, Tori Deal.
Unfortunately, Cara got sent into the final elimination and lost to her new friend, Tori, ending her time competing in Season 40.
Before that happened, the cameras captured Cara and Bananas having a rare one-on-one conversation about competing in and winning a final.

The Challenge Season 40, also known as Battle of the Eras, is nearing its final episode. Eight competitors will attempt to win significant money in host Tj Lavin’s final.

Along with Derek, former champions Johnny Bananas and Jordan Wiseley are back in another final. Big Brother star Kyland Young officially reached his first-ever final.
The Wednesday, December 18 episode featured the last women’s elimination, with Tori Deal outlasting Cara Maria Sorbello in a treading water contest.

During The Challenge: Battle of the Eras, Tori Deal had several rivals lurking within the 40-person cast – each ready to potentially cause drama.
They included Amanda Garcia, who had to co-exist on the same Era 3 team with Tori, and former War of the Worlds 2 rival Cara Maria Sorbello.
Tori’s Amanda problem got eliminated early in the season, but Cara was one of the top contenders.
Due to that, Cara remained a potential finalist throughout most of the season, meaning she and Tori might butt heads.
However, she and Tori made amends during Season 40 and ultimately became friends before their elimination clash in the water.
During a recent episode of Johnny Bananas’ podcast, Tori revealed that there was an unaired conversation in which she received an apology from Cara.

Cara Maria Sorbello is coming off her exciting return to The Challenge, with appearances in the All Stars 4 spin-off and MTV’s Battle For a New Champion and Battle of the Eras.
On All Stars 4, she feuded with her familiar rival, Laurel Stucky, and won several eliminations against top competitors to reach yet another final.
While she didn’t defeat Laurel in the final, she proved she’s still one of the show’s best competitors and joined the epic Season 40 cast.
Season 40 showed her impressive abilities, too, as Cara nearly became one of the eight finalists. However, former rival-turned-friend Tori Deal defeated her in a nighttime water elimination just before Tj Lavin’s final.
Cara is likely not done with the show just yet. She recently revealed who she would team up with if she returned for a “pairs” season.

Two of The Challenge’s all-time greats battled for the last spot in Tj Lavin’s final for Season 40, but fans were disappointed at the elimination event.
It came down to former show winners Cara Maria Sorbello and Tori Deal, who had surprisingly become closer than ever before as friends and allies in Battle of the Eras.
The daily challenge, Bricks Fortress, involved players carrying bricks out of a castle and retrieving wooden boards to assemble a puzzle.
The men’s and women’s players who got their puzzles right first would win the event and get to decide who went into elimination.
The man and woman who finished behind the rest of their opponents would lose. The women’s loser went straight to the last elimination.
It ended up being Tori Deal finishing last, so daily winner Jordan Wiseley couldn’t save her from going into the elimination.

Jordan Wiseley seemingly spotted a mistake with one of his castmate’s puzzles during The Challenge: Battle of the Eras.
In the recently-aired Episode 17, viewers watched a frantic daily challenge, with everyone trying to win ahead of the upcoming final.
However, it was crucial for the women, as Cara Maria Sorbello, Jenny West, and Rachel Robinson were targets facing the last women’s elimination. Tori Deal and Michele Fitzgerald also wanted to perform well.
The first-place woman for the event was safe from elimination and got to choose who would go into elimination.
The last-place woman would automatically go into the elimination event at The Arena.

Cara Maria Sorbello‘s dream of a fourth championship came to an end on Wednesday night’s episode of The Challenge: Battle of the Eras. The Era II veteran was taken out by Era III’s Tori Deal in an elimination that lasted nearly three hours, treading water in the ocean off the coast of the Philippines. It was the last elimination before the this season’s epic final.
“I’m stubborn and I just wanted to survive,” she tells Gold Derby. (Watch Cara Maria’s full exit interview above.) “I wanted to make it through and I wanted to get to that final. Everything happens the way it’s meant to and, at the end of the day, Tori just pulled it out. She had a great season and she definitely earned it.”
Throughout the grueling challenge, Cara Maria says they were being eaten alive by mysterious sea creatures.

It’s almost final time on The Challenge Season 40, but Wednesday’s (December 18) episode, “Location Change Era,” saw the elimination of one last contestant before the next phase could commence. Cara Maria Sorbello had a stellar season, outlasting 15 other women — including all of Era II’s other girls — along with winning the “40-Yard Dash” challenge and surviving an early elimination bout. Coming into the first pre-final daily challenge, it seemed like she might have an advantage; a race through a fortress with various checkpoints is awfully reminiscent of the setting of her big solo victory on Vendettas. However, Jenny West just had the grit to get it done, and after Tori Deal finished last and was automatically sent to the arena, Jenny and fellow daily winner Jordan Wiseley picked Cara Maria to go into the sand against her … only this time, it was the water, and Cara Maria is famously no fan of water challenges.

The Challenge star Cara Maria Sorbello revealed she got a cosmetic “reset” to change her appearance.
Cara continues to battle with other behemoths of MTV’s competition series in Season 40, aka Battle of the Eras.

However, Cara allowed her friend Derek Chavez to choose her as one of his three women’s targets for the next elimination to make things easier on him after his win over Cory Wharton.
That put the two-time Challenge champion on the chopping block as a potential candidate to compete in the upcoming women’s elimination.
With the final around the corner, viewers will discover what Cara and her castmates’ fates are when the MTV show resumes new episodes.

Michele Fitzgerald and Johnny Bananas had an intense feud during The Challenge: Battle of the Eras, stemming from Michele’s showmance with one of Bananas’ rivals.
Their heated conversations occurred after Bananas had warned Michele that her showmance interest, castmate Devin Walker, might use her as part of his game strategy.
However, Devin took exception to it, and following his elimination, Michele blasted Bananas for his comments and for targeting her and several allies.
During another episode, viewers watched Michele attempt to instigate Bananas while playing footsies with Aviv Melmed, his married castmate, on the cast’s bus ride.
In that episode, Bananas called out Michele for being “catty,” and Aviv later confronted her about what she said on the bus.
However, viewers never saw what transpired between Michele and Bananas after that incident, and a deleted scene has since arrived.

While The Challenge: Battle of the Eras featured some of the greatest champions competing on the show, other hungry players were looking to win their first season.
Among them was former Big Brother winner Josh Martinez, who has become a polarizing regular on MTV’s series.
He’s formed strong alliances in the game, creating bonds with many castmates, and that assisted him in surviving most of Season 40.
In particular, he aligned with the Vacation Alliance, a group of castmates who take trips during The Challenge offseason and then band together while filming to control the game.
With a cast like Season 40’s, it became tough for them to do that. Several of their group members were eliminated in one episode, fracturing the alliance.
After his aired exit in a recent episode, Josh spoke about where he stands with the Vacation Alliance, highlighting that he is not sure about working with a specific castmate again.

Zach Nichols called out former castmate Johnny Bananas with recent criticisms about how he plays The Challenge.
Zach and Bananas last appeared as castmates during the War of the Worlds 2 season, where Bananas was an early elimination due to Cara Maria Sorbello and Paulie Calafiore’s votes.
Meanwhile, Zach hung around until the end of the season, reaching the final as part of Team USA with Cara, Paulie, and several other castmates. They ultimately lost to a four-person Team UK.
Bananas is currently part of the epic 40-person cast for The Challenge: Battle of the Eras and has recently been featured in quite a bit of drama.

During The Challenge: Battle of the Eras, several alliances were formed involving new friends and former rivals.
Viewers already loved or hated the Vacation Alliance, which featured Devin Walker, Tori Deal, Josh Martinez, and Kaycee Clark.
However, new alliances arrived, including the Ladies of Leisure (LOLs), which featured Michele Fitzgerald, Olivia Kaiser, and Nia Moore.
In Season 40’s recent episode, Olivia described the trio’s mutual interests in shopping, designer items, and expensive vacations.
Johnny Bananas’ crew, Bananas Angels, also appeared in the recent episode during Jordan, Michele, and Olivia’s discussion about trying to cut the head off the snake.
The group later had a toast at the bar, as Aviv discussed in a confessional that they’d been a close group throughout the season so far.

However, during a recent episode, Devin became one of Era 3’s targets with his Ride or Dies partner, Tori Deal.

Josh Martinez continues to rile up many of The Challenge fans who wish he wouldn’t appear on their television screens.
The former Big Brother winner is part of the Season 40 cast, known as Battle of the Eras, where he’s one of the 10 members of the Era 4 team.
Several other Big Brother stars appeared on his team, including his good friend Kaycee Clark, former finalist Paulie Calafiore, and newcomer Kyland Young.
It might seem that Era 4 represents the new era well because it features UK cast members and CBS stars who joined MTV’s The Challenge.
However, recent remarks from Josh in a deleted scene mention that he felt someone was missing.
Fans called out his comments after seeing the recently released clip, claiming they didn’t feel the show needed that certain someone in the cast.

On The Challenge: Battle of the Eras, multiple cast members attempting to win didn’t want the infamous Vacation Alliance to control the game again.
Opponents fired some serious shots at the group on the recent episode and they took out two of the alliance members.
Viewers saw Rachel Robinson win the daily challenge as the only remaining member of her Era 1 team.
Since Devin Walker and Tori Deal were targets on the losing team, they automatically had to go into the elimination event.

It paid off in the end, as Kyland defeated Devin and Tori defeated Kaycee, weakening the alliance as the game continued.
