Less than one month after being released in theaters, the horror-comedy Lisa Frankenstein is now available at home. You can own or rent the film on Digital starting today.

Directed by Zelda Williams and written by Diablo Cody (Juno, Jennifer’s Body), Lisa Frankenstein first dug up someone special in movie theaters nationwide on February 9.

Meagan Navarro wrote in her review for Bloody Disgusting, “Billed as a coming-of-rage tale, Lisa Frankenstein instead offers a celebration of outcasts and weirdos.”

“It makes for a sugary sweet, almost wholesome effort held together by a trio of infectiously winsome performances,” Meagan’s review continued.

The classless practice of traumatic profiteering is alive and well in Thomas Walton’s micro-budget slasher Camp Pleasant Lake. We’ve become a society obsessed with gnarly true crime documentaries and podcasts, lifting infamous serial killers to celebrity status. As superfans once wrote letters to Charles Manson in prison, studios now churn out streaming programs about despicable icons like Bundy and Dahmer to capitalize on trending viewership. Camp Pleasant Lake is an intriguing commentary on selling someone else’s grief and loss for your next payday, but at no point does Walton’s execution do his “Horror LARPing” concept justice.

The film takes place at Camp Echo Lake, where new owners Rick (Michael Paré) and Darlene Rutherford (Maritza Brikisak) have reopened as an immersive Halloween experience. For $10,000, attendees are treated to “Camp of Terror,” an all-inclusive murder party that ties back to a horrible crime committed on the grounds 20 years prior.

Disco Diablo is a new horror comedy podcast series going into pre-production and directed by Greg Tally and Halle Capone. This will be a Collywood Studios and Damn Dirty Drive In Presentation, both based in Denver, Colorado. It is also the first of several podcast plays, film shorts and features Collywood is moving into pre-production.

Tally’s previous directing projects include a satire of ‘War of the Worlds,’ and the Western drama, ‘The Reckoning,’ and Capone directed the art house feature drama, “Misfits of the Profane,” as well as several episodes of the horror series, ‘Tales of the Wildermist.

eOne is prepping an adaptation of Janice Hallett’s The Twyford Code – the first fruits of the studio’s deal with BAFTA-winning writer-director Paul Andrew Williams. The book is written via automatic transcriptions of recordings made by a former prisoner determined to discover what happened to his teacher. eOne will co-produce with former Sky Studios drama boss Cameron Roach’s Rope Ladder Fiction, with Williams directing and eOne handling global rights. “Janice Hallett’s ingenious second novel has rightly gained a fanbase of epic proportions,” said Sharon Hughff, eOne’s Creative Director, Scripted Television, UK. Deadline revealed eOne’s deal with Williams last year and the Broadchurch director is forging scripted TV shows for all platforms.

Sam Raimi was attached to direct a sci-fi thriller set in the Bermuda Triangle for quite a while – then when he went off to replace Scott Derrickson as the director of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Derrickson stepped in to take the helm of Bermuda. That was almost three years ago and we’re still waiting to hear further information on that Bermuda Triangle project. In the meantime, Mahal Empire is set to release a creature feature called Bermuda Island on January 20th, and you can watch the trailer for the film in the embed above!

Producers Michael Mahal and Sonny Mahal crafted the story for Bermuda Island, which was directed by Adam Werth (Rancher’s Kin) from a screenplay by Crossbreed writer Robert Thompson.
