In 2012 Goetz was appointed, and served for two years, as the Chair of the Leadership Development Committee for Lawyers Club. In this role she organized "Pipeline to Leadership," a program that provided women with hands-on tools to get appointed to boards and commission in the public, private and non-profit sectors. She also spearheaded a "Pathways to the Bench" (an event with Joshua Groban - Senior Advisor to Governor Jerry Brown and responsible for recommending judicial nominees to the Governor), the Bench-Bar luncheon (which connected women with judge mentors), and she has been involved with "Run Women Run", a political boot camp teaching women how to build a campaign and run for office.
In 2016, Goetz received the Forward Under 40 award from UWM, recognizing her positive impact on female professionals and for her specific achievements in helping empower women to seek out leadership positions in government, law, and business.
