Agnes Brekke

Agnes Brekke is a Colombo-Norwegian actress, born in England and brought up in Colombia.
Graduated with honors from an interdisciplinary MA in Theatre and Performance Arts in Colombia in 2015.
Has a degree in European Theatre Arts graduating from Rose Bruford College in London in 2003 where she joined Zecora Ura Theatre as a core member until 2006.
Winner of the 'actress of the year' prize at the Oval House Theatre in London in 2007; has interpreted leading roles for the BBC Worldwide Service and Channel 4 Radio. Agnes was a member of the Bottlefed Theatre Ensamble (winner of the 100°Berlin Festival in 2010) in the UK until moving back to Colombia in 2012 where she has since joined the prestigious theatre company Mapa Teatro as lead actress together with Heidi Abderhalden, performing in shows such as: "Discourse of a Decent Man", "The Holly Innocent", "The Unaccounted" and "The Farewell".
Agnes recently played Karen (Tilda Swinton's sister) in Apichatpong Weerasethakul's latest film "Memoria" which will be premiered at the Cannes Festival in 2021.
