Riverdale has a complicated legacy in pop culture. Despite being one of the final popular teen dramas to follow the 22-episode format and having seven seasons to its name, many remember the show for its bizarre storylines. The series, which started out as a simple murder mystery, went off the rails rather quickly after that.

The series, which ran from 2017 to 2023, was based on the light-hearted Archie Comics. The series, however, featured the characters of the small town of Riverdale dealing with threats from masked killers, organ-harvesting cults, aliens, witches, and parallel dimensions and timelines. Out of the 137 Riverdale episodes, ten episodes stood out as especially bizarre, leaving audiences confused and dumbfounded.

Kj Apa hasn't closed the door on a possible return as Riverdale's Archie Andrews. The actor is open to reprising the role of America's favorite redhead, but only if a certain condition is met.

While speaking with Elite Daily to promote his new movie One Fast Move, Apa was asked if he'd ever be interested in appearing as Archie in his co-star Maia Reficco's Max series, Pretty Little Liars, which shares continuity with Riverdale. "100%, Id do it. I miss Riverdale. I miss everyone on that show. Not a day goes by where I dont think about it," Apa said, before adding that he'd only return if he didn't have to dye his hair red. "Id do it, but not if they dye my hair. I wouldnt dye my hair again," meaning that Apa would likely need to wear a wig to achieve Archie's iconic red hair.

Riverdale’s storyline always perplexed the audience. Sometimes, it made sense, and most of the time, none of it made sense. However, the show gave us unique talents and solid friendships. Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes and Madelaine Petsch are one such trio who became good friends on the sets. The ladies often shared beautiful pictures and cool TikTok videos.

Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa recently shared the original pitch for the long-running Archie Comics adaptation's final season.

"Originally, when we pitched the season, one of the ideas that we pitched was that the first 13 episodes would be in the ’50s, and then starting around Episode 14 or so, we would start moving in time," Aguirre-Sacasa told TVLine. Clay Walker, who Karl Walcott plays, is a deeply thoughtful and sensitive guy who loves poetry and movies.

Fans have loved his scenes so far, but we've only scratched the surface of where his character could go. We're excited to see how he fits into the group as Riverdale's final season progresses.

The clock continues to count down on Riverdale as the seventh and final season serves up the fourth of its 11 episodes. In tonight’s outing, the overheated teens of the town with pep are once again causing a ruckus: Betty (Lili Reinhart) puts Kevin (Casey Cott) on warning for refusing her randy advances, Jughead (Cole Sprouse) gets into a pickle only Veronica (Camila Mendes) can get him out of, and Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) decides to pull a fast one on her family with some help from Archie (Kj Apa). “Riverdale” star Casey Cott and his wife Nichola Basara are expecting their first baby together.

Cott and Basara, who tied the knot in December 2021, announced the exciting news in an interview with People.

They’re set to welcome a baby boy in September.

“We thought there was a chance I was pregnant but, you never really know until you know for sure!” Basara told the mag.

Basara explained how she woke up on a Saturday morning before Cott to take a test, and was thrilled when it said “pregnant.”

“Riverdale” is taking a time warp back to 1955 to kick off its final season.

The CW’s outgoing drama dropped the official trailer for season 7 on Thursday, setting up the shenanigans that Archie (Kj Apa) and the crew will endure as they try to piece together what happened following last season’s finale. After facing off against Percival and narrowly missing a deadly comet, the gang was transported back to the ’50s, where they found themselves reliving high school… again.

Unfortunately for the crew, only Jughead (Cole Sprouse) is aware of all that transpired prior to their new 1955 reality.

As the two-minute trailer reveals, Jughead has the tall task of trying to convince his pals — who find themselves living very unexpected lives and paired up in the most shocking relationships — why they don’t actually belong in the ’50s.

The end is approaching for Riverdale.

The seventh and final season premieres Wednesday, March 29, on The CW, and if the first trailer is any indication, the trippy storytelling that made the first few seasons a success is making a comeback.

When Riverdale Season 6 concluded in 2022, the gang was transported back to the 1950s, which looks to be the setting for the final chapter.

In true Riverdale fashion, Jughead (Cole Sprouse) appears to be the only person who knows what's happening in this new timeline.

"We were all sent back in time," Jughead tells his friends.

"We need to get back."

However, his friends are far too interested in spending their time at school than unraveling the mysteries surrounding their lives.

"Jughead, we're juniors in high school. Life's good," Archie (Kj Apa) says.

"Why would we want to go back? ... We are not from the future!"
