Exclusive: Callan Farris and Arjun Shah have joined the CBS multi-cam comedy pilot Zarna, alongside lead Zarna Garg, who co-writes and co-executive produces with Darlene Hunt.

Zarna centers on the eponymous heroine Zarna (Garg), a proud immigrant woman raising her American-born kids on Indian values. But now that they’re getting older, it’s time to focus on her American dream.

The story reflects Garg’s own story as an immigrant from India who moves to the U.S. as a teenager. After getting BA and Jd degrees, she spent 16 years as a stay-at-home mom before her children encouraged her to try stand-up, launching her comedy career.

Apple TV+ has released the trailer for the all-new futuristic anthology series “Circuit Breakers,” premiering globally on Friday, November 11. “Circuit Breakers” is a half-hour anthology series about middle-schoolers in the near future that uses science fiction as a backdrop to tell universal stories about growing up. A new creepypasta has arrived to terrify audiences with Grimcutty. The Hulu horror movie revolves around a suburban neighborhood enduring a rising panic when the titular meme challenge begins terrorizing local teenagers and causing them to inflict harm on their parents, and themselves.

Sara Wolfkind leads the cast of Grimcutty alongside Usman Ally, Shannyn Sossaman, Callan Farris, Alona Tal, Kayden Koshalev, and Joel Ezra Hebner. Written and directed by John Ross, the film follows in the footsteps of Slender Man and The Empty Man before it, introducing a horrific new entity to terrify the Internet masses.

Screen Rant: I'm excited to talk about Grimcutty.

Grimcutty begins with a young boy, his hands and wrists covered in bandaids, sneaking out of his room as his mover reads articles about internet challenges. As he makes his way downstairs and gets a knife a half-glimpsed figure, Grimcutty, slips into the house. The boy then stabs his mother, apparently at the creature’s command.

After that we meet our main characters, Asha Chaudhry, her younger brother Kamran, and their parents Leah and Amir. Asha has recently quit the track team to devote her time to creating Asmr videos.

Rather than encourage her they blame “internet addiction” for her decision. Which leads to mandatory phone-free outings and other measures. Of course, they don’t give up their group chats, one of which warns them about something called the “Grimcutty...

Another Hulu Original horror movie has popped up for the Halloween season today, with Hulu unleashing the official trailer for Grimcutty, which begins streaming on October 10, 2022.

In the upcoming horror movie, “A suburban teen girl and her little brother must stop a terrifying internet meme brought to life by the hysteria of their parents.”

John Ross (“The Birch”) directed Grimcutty for Hulu’s “Huluween” lineup this year.

Nickelodeon will air #KidsTogether: The Nickelodeon Town Hall, an hour-long special offering a kids-eye view of life during the coronavirus pandemic. It will premiere Monday, March 30 at 7 Pm Et/Pt. Disney Channel has already given a second season order to “Gabby Duran & the Unsittables,” its new single-camera comedy that doesn’t premiere its first season until this Friday, Oct. 11.

“Gabby Duran” stars young singer and actress Kylie Cantrall as a 13-year-old who moves to a new town and winds up with an unusual babysitting job, looking after a group of extraterrestrial children hiding out on earth and posing as everyday kids.

Production on Season 2 of the show starts next February in Vancouver. “‘Gabby Duran & The Unsittables’ gives us a bold new heroine, brought to life by the incredibly talented Kylie Cantrall and our top-notch creative team led by showrunners Mike Alber and Gabe Snyder,” said Kory Lunsford, Disney Channel’s vice president of current series.

Alber and Snyder (“Kirby Buckets”) executive produce with Joe Nussbaum (“Just Add Water”).

“We like to do comedy with a high-concept hook to it,” Alber said.

Previously, August 2018: Disney Channel has handed a straight-to-series order to Gabby Duran & The Unsittables, a live-action comedy based on the novel by Elise Allen and Daryle Conners, with 12-year-old newcomer Kylie Cantrall in the title role. Production is underway in Vancouver for a 2019 premiere on Disney Channel.

Disney’s dormant film franchise, The Rocketeer, will be revived as an animated series, starring a female hero, on Disney Junior.

The Rocketeer franchise is ready for another liftoff more than a quarter of a century after it was grounded. While rumblings in recent years have teased a reboot movie and even a straight sequel to the original 1991 film, Disney’s family-friendly genre-mixing action brand will soon manifest as an animated series on the Mouse’s youth-aimed cable platform, Disney Junior.

Disney has announced that production on The Rocketeer animated series has already commenced. The franchise-reviving cartoon will – apropos to its platform – be aimed at young children and families, targeting a release in 2019. The story will draw inspiration from The Rocketeer comic book series of Dave Stevens, which adhered to the original film. However, the series will follow the rocket pack-powered exploits of a young female hero.
