- Helen Wan is a writer, media lawyer, and consultant. Her work focuses on strong female characters and people from underrepresented backgrounds who face a complicated relationship with ambition and success. Her first novel, THE PARTNER TRACK, about an Asian American woman navigating the alien culture of an elite global law firm, was a Book Club selection by REAL SIMPLE Magazine and The National Association of Women Lawyers, and a cover story by The Washington Post Magazine about shattering glass ceilings. THE PARTNER TRACK is now taught in universities, law schools, and DEI courses and trainings, and will soon be a new Netflix original TV series. Helen has also written for CNN, The Washington Post, The Daily Beast, and The Huffington Post, among other outlets. Before this, she practiced media and entertainment law in NYC, at law firms and as in-house counsel at Time Inc. (then a division of Time Warner), A+E Television Networks, and Hachette.
