Colin Mayne is a classically trained visual artist working in digital matte painting and 2D and 3D concept art, he received his Illustration Diploma and Post-Graduate Certificate in Animation, both from Sheridan College in Oakville, Canada.
After working as an illustrator for nearly a decade, Colin made the move into digital matte painting and concept art for feature films and television, eventually working on Oscar winning productions.
Colin's artwork and design has won two awards for the Royal Canadian Mint at the Krause Publications Coin of the Year Awards: International Coin of the Year and Most Innovative Coin.
Colin grew up in Northern Ireland, just north of Belfast, now residing in Elgin, Scotland and is an active member of the Visual Effects Society.
