Aberrance is the first Mongolian horror movie to be released in the United States, premiering earlier this year at the Swsw Film Festival. The movie follows Erkhmee and Selenge, who move to a remote cabin in Mongolia and a feeling of foreboding begins to infect their lives. The exclusive clip shows Selenge trapped in the house by Erkhembayar, raising questions about her captivity and adding to the movie's psychological horror.
Screen Rant is thrilled to present an exclusive clip from the new horror movie Aberrance. The movie follows Erkhmee and Selenge, city dwellers, who move to an old cabin deep in the wilds of Mongolia. With this move, a strange feeling of foreboding begins to infect the couple. While Erkhmee seems to want to provide a safe and enriching space for his artistic wife, he demonstrates odd behavior and even violent actions. Confused by this, their neighbor begins to dig deeper.

Though it usually has negative connotations, the implication of something deviating from the norm and wandering away from tradition may seem more and more appealing in a theatrical landscape saturated with reboots and sequels. Even mainstream audiences seem to be growing tired of the same Disney remakes, comic book sequels, and rebooted intellectual properties. Maybe they're ready for something truly aberrant — the very first horror from Mongolia to come to American theaters.

Holy hell this year’s SXSW Film Festival isn’t messing around.
The official lineup has just been revealed and it’s a banger, starting off with a special screening of Evil Dead Rise!
In addition, they have several prominent horror titles that will premiere as part of the Midnighters program, including the Sundance hit Talk to Me and the surprise sequel to Becky, The Wrath of Becky!
“Midnighters don’t need to be exclusively horror films, they just need to perk you up and get your blood pumping,” said Peter Hall, Film & TV Festival Programmer. “That’s why this year’s SXSW Midnighters class is a mix of horror, bone-crunching action, and mind-melting genre hybrids. Some of them introduce new, terrifying lore to the canon of suburban horror movies, some will worm around in your brain like thoughts you can’t shake, but all of them will make you...
