How does a truly terrible song end up an otherwise flawless album? Blame ego-appeasing band-politics concessions, drug-fueled studio experiments, songwriters working through a few too many personal demons, and artists who just ran out of songwriting steam a little too soon. Or maybe it all comes down to bad judgment.

Selena Gomez announced a new album — and released a single — with fiancé Benny Blanco on Thursday.

I Said I Love You First will release March 21, Gomez wrote on Instagram. The first single, “Scared of Loving You,” is out now.

Charlie Puth condemned Kanye West’s Super Bowl ad on Monday, writing on social media that West’s messaging is “incredibly dangerous.”

“Please man, I beg you to stop,” Puth wrote on an Instagram Story.

West appeared in an ad toward the end of the Super Bowl on Sunday directing fans to the website of his brand, Yeezy. Though the website featured various products for sale on the day of the ad’s release, by Monday morning it only showed one item: a T-shirt with an image of a swastika.

“Millions of people are influenced by you,” Puth continued. “Please I Beg you to stop, Please.”

The Anti-Defamation League also issued a response to West’s stunt on Monday. “As if we needed further proof of Kanye’s antisemitism, he chose to put a single item for sale on his website — a T-shirt emblazoned with a swastika,” their statement read.

Payne was staying at the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires where on Wednesday afternoon, he died after falling from his third floor room. Payne was reportedly in Argentina to see former 1D bandmate Niall Horan perform in concert, according to the AP and local Argentine media.

News that he jumped came from Pablo Policicchio, communications director for the Buenos Aires Security Ministry, who disclosed the findings in a statement provided to the Associated Press. He also confirmed that police had responded to an emergency call at the hotel just after 5 p.m. local time over what employees said was “aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.”
