Robert Gilliland is a recent graduate of the Master's Film program at Loyola Marymount University School of Film and TV Production. While attending LMU, he made three student films, along with completing his thesis film I AM JUNE, which was an Official Selection at the San Diego Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival, leading to speaking on a panel at Comic-con. Prior to film school, he was a news Photog and Editor for the Morning Show at a local NBC affiliate, where he worked on many types of projects for the station. He also made numerous films and music videos with his friends while he was a student at The University of Texas El Paso, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Mass Communication with a minor in Film Studies. He entered LMU wanting to be a cinematographer but found his passion in writing, directing and producing. In this way he can tell stories that inspire others to be better versions of themselves. As a Mexican-American, he feels that minorities and women are largely misrepresented or type casted. So, he always aims for a diverse cast and crew of inclusion, because everyone should be allowed to tell their story.
