Donald Pitts is most recently enjoying a role in Francis Ford Coppola's, Megalopolis. He received a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his performance in 'The Secrets We Keep.' Other roles include William Geoffrey, an English journalist in 'Who Is Gatsby Randolph?'; Bill Harris, a television newscaster in the streaming comedy pilot 'Broken News'; Grandpa Art in 'Sunsprite'; and Charles in 'Ahead,' to name a few.
He attended law school following his undergraduate studies in theatre performance. During his career in the law, he served as an Assistant Attorney General for the state of Kansas, litigating before the United States Supreme Court. After retiring from the practice of law, he has turned his focus, once again, to performance in film, television, stage, radio, music video, and voice-over productions.
Donald first became interested in acting during his first year at Bryan Adams High School in Dallas, TX, and continued his study on full scholarship at Southern Methodist University. His formal training includes classical acting, stage, and screen combat techniques, set and costume design, pantomime, modern dance, musical theater, and improvisation.
All who have worked with Donald will attest to his dedication to the craft, ability to breathe life into a character, and the creative "added value" he brings to any project. He is a people person and a gifted actor who lives near Atlanta, GA. When not performing, He enjoys jamming and writing music with friends, cooking, painting, and helping with animal rescue projects.
