Though John Henry Irons, aka Steel, did suit-up in Superman and Lois, his costume turned out to be a pretty generic-looking grey suit of armor. Now, actor Wolé Parks has revealed that his character was originally supposed to debut a more comic-accurate design.

Parks shared a first look at the unused costume to Instagram, and while it's not exactly the same as Steel's comic book suit, it does have the red cape and "S" chest emblem.

"The question I got most was when are they gonna introduce the full Steel suit," said Parks. "I'd always say that it's coming. Unfortunately, due to the budget cuts we never got to do it but here's an early fitting as proof."

Now enraged and fully unleashed, Doomsday viciously attacked the Man of Steel, setting the stage for what should be a brutal rematch between the two near-invulnerable foes in next week's series finale.

Though we're not sure this latest take on Doomsday could really be described as comic-accurate, it could arguably be the closest any live-action Superman project has come to matching the villain's original design - despite the color being completely different.

Superman and Lois season 4 has been pulling on all of our heartstrings. The CW series is no stranger to doing that, but the fourth and final season has been making us feel all the emotions, and that's pretty darn impressive considering we're only three episodes in. After Sam Lane narrowly escaped Lex Luthor's wrath in last week's episode, we weren't expecting him to be in the firing line again so quickly, but the vindictive villain is a man of his word, and made the Kent family pay for standing up to him by sending Doomsday to kill the general.

After first witnessing the Death of Superman, Lois was forced to watch as the broken body of her father was similarly tossed at her feet.

Some good does come of Lane's death, however, as he had injected himself with Bruno Mannheim’s super serum prior to his encounter with Doomsday, making his heart strong enough to replace the Man of Steel's.

Even though the versions of the Man of Steel (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) who lead the show made their debuts in one of The CW's Arrowverse crossovers, season 2 of S&l made it clear that the series does not take place in the same continuity.

We already knew that the Man of Steel (Tyler Hoechlin) would be checking out pretty early on after the events of the season 3 finale, but this teaser shows the moment Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) and their sons discover Clark's body after his fateful battle with the monstrous Doomsday.

It looks like Jordan (Alex Garfin) will step up and attempt to fill the void left by his legendary father, but will he have what it takes to match wits with Lex Luthor (Michael Cudlitz)? The trailer also suggests that Doomsday might still be a threat, which would be a change from the Death of Superman comic, as Superman neutralizes his enemy before succumbing to his injuries.

Helbing and Fletcher revealed they had always hoped and planned for Superman & Lois to run for at least seven seasons. Nexstar Media Group's acquisition of the CW saw most of the network's original shows shelved. While the last Arrowverse-related series was not immediately on the chopping block, it will now end three seasons shy of its initial conception. Not every Superman & Lois character will receive as much screen time in season 4, but showrunner Todd Helbing remains committed to seeing their stories through to the end.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Helbing and fellow showrunner Brent Fletcher discussed the reluctant choice to bump much of Superman & Lois' supporting cast from series regulars to guest appearances before the show officially concludes its run. "Unfortunately, with the state of the business, we had to do it," he admitted, while Fletcher called their situation "one of the decisions that unfortunately was made [to make the final season happen]. That was a lot of the secret sauce that helped us get this done."

Superman & Lois will air its fourth and final season in Oct. While the series promises to tie up loose ends, the series' titular stars, Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch, did not know what the final episode would entail until they started filming.

"I still didn't know the actual ending until we got pretty close to it," Hoechlin told Entertainment Weekly. "We had discussed potential endings throughout the various seasons, what we thought would be kind of cool, and even up until about halfway through the season, I was still wondering which direction they were going to go." Tulloch also shared her thoughts on the finale, describing it as "a very emotional" episode. "There will be closure, and everyone's going to be crying in the final episode of the series. I did," she revealed.

This one sheds more light on Lex Luthor's twisted master plan and what we can expect from supporting characters like John Henry Irons, Chrissy Beppo, and Kyle Cushing. As for the Man of Steel himself, all we learn here is that he's "locked in a ferocious, moon-wrecking battle" with Doomsday.

Superman & Lois co-showrunners Todd Helbing and Brent Fletcher have consistently teased several cameo appearances across the show's upcoming season, recently confirming the inclusion of a "significant character" from the comics. The fourth and final season of The CW series will debut this October.

Per TV Line, Superman & Lois' creators teased that "there is a pretty significant character from the comics that we were actually surprised that we were able to use and it's pretty soon in the season. You hear the name drop, then start hearing that name drop more, and then you see that person eventually." Given the depth of Superman's stable of characters from the source material, it would almost be impossible to speculate as to the identity of the character who could also possibly be one from the wider DC Universe.

However, it sounds like Lex Luthor is still on the loose and about to enact his twisted plan for Smallville. "Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and Sarah (Inde Navarrette) join the fight against Luthor (Michael Cudlitz), who starts making moves in Smallville.

In response to ABC creating an 8 pm - 10 pm game show block on Mondays for Celebrity Wheel Of Fortune and Press Your Luck, The Wranglers is moving from Thursday to Monday, swapping nights with Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit.
