Though John Henry Irons, aka Steel, did suit-up in Superman and Lois, his costume turned out to be a pretty generic-looking grey suit of armor. Now, actor Wolé Parks has revealed that his character was originally supposed to debut a more comic-accurate design.
Parks shared a first look at the unused costume to Instagram, and while it's not exactly the same as Steel's comic book suit, it does have the red cape and "S" chest emblem.
"The question I got most was when are they gonna introduce the full Steel suit," said Parks. "I'd always say that it's coming. Unfortunately, due to the budget cuts we never got to do it but here's an early fitting as proof."

Superman and Lois - along with the shared DC Comics TV universe that came to be known as the "Arrowverse" - came to an end last night with a powerful series finale, and The CW has now released several official clips from "It Went By So Fast."
If you haven't watched the episode yet, major spoilers follow.
As expected, the episode featured a final confrontation between the Man of Steel and Lex Luthor, whose rage and thirst for revenge ultimately proved to be his undoing.
With Superman busy doing battle with Doomsday, a power-suited Luthor pinned Jordan to the ground and proceeded to choke the life out of the teen. Lois then intervened, taunting Lex about how he's always been terrified of her, and provoking him into getting just close enough for her to plant an explosive on his armor.

The CW's Superman and Lois - along with the shared DC Comics TV universe that came to be known as the "Arrowvrese" - came to an end tonight with a powerful series finale.
Spoilers follow.
We'll be bringing you a more in-depth breakdown of "It Went By So Fast" tomorrow, but for now, we have a first look at some of the unexpected cameos and surprises that featured in the episode.
We pretty much knew that Jonathan and Jordan would get their own super-suits after some concept art found its way online, and sure enough, the sons of Superman donned proper costumes and took flight with their father.
More surprising was an appearance from none other than Krypto the Superdog (though not the powered-up version from the comic books), who kept Clark company following Lois' death.

The penultimate episode of Superman and Lois aired last night, and "To Live and Die Again" concluded with the return of Doomsday in his even more monstrous and formidable final form.
Now enraged and fully unleashed, Doomsday viciously attacked the Man of Steel, setting the stage for what should be a brutal rematch between the two near-invulnerable foes in next week's series finale.
Though we're not sure this latest take on Doomsday could really be described as comic-accurate, it could arguably be the closest any live-action Superman project has come to matching the villain's original design - despite the color being completely different.
You can get a more detailed look at Doomsday along with new images of Superman looking a little the worse for wear in a new batch of promo stills at the links below.

The penultimate episode of Superman and Lois aired last night, and "To Live and Die Again" ended on an emotional cliffhanger to set up what promises to be a rematch for the ages in next week's series finale.
Spoilers follow.
Episode 9 concluded with the return of Doomsday in his even more monstrous and formidable final form, as the raging beast landed a powerful strike on the Man of Steel just as he was telling Lois how much he loved her.
Considering Supes was killed the last time he threw down with Doomsday, the odds are definitely not in the Man of Tomorrow's favour.
“I wanted it to be an emotional hit and to end it on an unresolved note,” writer/director Jai Jamison tells TV Line. “We’re just really playing on the stakes of that moment. And it’s a testament to Tyler, Bitsie, Michael and Alex. They all brought it.

If you've been following this fourth and final season of Superman and Lois you probably have a pretty good idea of which character we're referring to, but just in case, here's your spoiler warning.
In the season premiere, Brainiac's debut was teased during a conversation between Amanda McCoy and Lex Luthor.
“Not much to look at, but Milton assured me it would work,” McCoy says to her boss after handing him a device. “He did good,” Lex answers. “How about we keep that between us?” McCoy responds. “The last thing that brainiac needs is this going to his head.”
This was a clear nod to Milton Fine, who was introduced in 1988’s Adventures of Superman #438 as a mentalist who was being controlled by Vril Dox, aka Brainiac. We're not too sure what to expect from this new take on the villain, but TV Line has now confirmed that he...

Last November, James Gunn cast Skyler Gisondon as the Dcu's Jimmy Olsen in Superman. However, he's not the only actor to have recently been picked to play the Man of Steel's best pal, as Douglas Smith will show up as the beloved Daily Planet photographer in Superman & Lois' final season.
This version of the character has previously been described as an "extroverted 20-something" known for being "the 'life of the party' around the office." The site adds, "Despite being work colleagues with Clark, he’s been unable to get him out of his 'awkward' shell. Unaware of Clark’s super-secret, Jimmy’s still determined to become his pal."
In a clip from episode 7 - titled "A Regular Guy" - we see an enthusiastic Jimmy attempt to befriend Clark Kent ahead of a softball game. However, he doesn't have much luck given the hero's reluctance to risk revealing his powers to the world.

Superman And Lois: The Man Of Steel Is Becoming A "Regular Guy" In First Look At Next Week's Episode

Last night's episode of Superman and Lois concluded with the Kent family scoring a (no-doubt temporary) victory over Lex Luthor, but it looks like an unexpected development may soon give the opportunistic villain the upper hand yet again.
Lois attempted to steer Luthor away from his desire for revenge by reuniting him with his daughter Elizabeth (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. alum Elizabeth Henstridge - who also directed the episode), but when that didn't work, she tried her luck with the monster who violently murdered her husband and father, Doomsday.
Somehow, Lois was able to appeal to the Bizarro Superman part of Doomsday by reminding him that he had a family of his own on the Inverse World, and the powerful creature agreed to depart. This leaves Luthor without his most formidable weapon against Superman... however, the promo for next week's episode, "Regular Guy," suggests it might...

The following contains spoilers for Superman & Lois, Season 4, Episode 4, "A Perfectly Good Wedding" now streaming on The CW app.
The final season of Superman & Lois paired Clark Kent's resurrection with the wedding of two tertiary characters. Yet, it was a vital story that needed to be told, especially for a show ending before its time. Laara Sadiq's debut as the mother of Superman & Lois original character Chrissy Beppo is a bittersweet reminder of how much story this show has left to tell.
Superman & Lois was a series expected to run for around seven seasons. The producers associated with Greg Berlanti became adept at creating archetypal characters who evolved into essential members of the cast. Erik Valdez's Kyle Cushing and Sofia Hasmik's Chrissy Beppo are two such characters. The introduction of Chrissy's mother, Mrs. Beppo, was made mysterious and foreboding because of Laara Sadiq's performance. Who she...

Following the shocking events of last week's instalment, The CW has released a trailer for the remaining episodes of the fourth and final season of Superman and Lois.
General Sam Lane's death at the hands of Doomsday allowed the Man of Steel to live again (more here), and the teaser shows the legendary hero coming to terms with what happened while teaching his son how to use his newly-acquired abilities and preparing to face-off against the monster who defeated him in their first encounter.
Despite Superman's resurrection, Lex Luthor appears to have a contingency plan (no surprise there), and suits-up for what will no doubt be a memorable final showdown with his nemesis.
Speaking of which, it looks like Clark will be donning a new costume of his own. It's not a million miles away from the previous suit design, but there are some subtle differences.

Superman and Lois season 4 has been pulling on all of our heartstrings. The CW series is no stranger to doing that, but the fourth and final season has been making us feel all the emotions, and that's pretty darn impressive considering we're only three episodes in. Well, four, because the season's most recent episode, "A Perfectly Good Wedding", was an emotional rollercoaster in and of itself.
So far this season, we have witnessed Superman die, Doomsday give his heart to Lex Luthor, Luthor then stamp on the heart in front of Jordan Kent, and the death of General Sam Lane. It's been a lot for the Kent-Lane-Irons family to have to deal with, and it really does highlight how ambitious this Arrowverse offshoot is as the show heads towards its series finale.
As always, this fourth installment also features some of the original cast's returning members. This week it's Kyle Cushing,...

Superman And Lois' Final Season Continues With An Expected Return... And A Shocking Death - Spoilers

The fourth and final season of Superman and Lois continued last night with an eventful third episode featuring a genuinely shocking character death.
Spoilers follow.
After Sam Lane narrowly escaped Lex Luthor's wrath in last week's episode, we weren't expecting him to be in the firing line again so quickly, but the vindictive villain is a man of his word, and made the Kent family pay for standing up to him by sending Doomsday to kill the general.
After first witnessing the Death of Superman, Lois was forced to watch as the broken body of her father was similarly tossed at her feet.
Some good does come of Lane's death, however, as he had injected himself with Bruno Mannheim’s super serum prior to his encounter with Doomsday, making his heart strong enough to replace the Man of Steel's.
The episode concludes with Superman opening his eyes.
So,...

After being absent in the two-episode Season 4 premiere, Parks confirmed while speaking with Screen Rant to promote The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 that John Henry Irons would be in the next episode, which airs on The CW on Oct. 14. "I know John Henry was stuck in traffic, I guess. I don't know. But I promise that he's going to be back," he promised. "I'll be back in episode 3." The actor also opened up about Superman & Lois' budget cuts, which prevented a lot of the show's original ensemble from returning for sizable roles in the final season. Season 4 of The CW's Superman and Lois premiered last night with a double-episode, and it picked up right where the season 3 finale left off, with the Man of Steel and Doomsday locked in brutal combat.
Spoilers follow.
The fact that we would witness the Death of Superman won't have come as much of a surprise to anyone, and the first episode concluded with the monstrous Doomsday tossing the lifeless body of Clark Kent at the feet of his family. But while this was happening, we see Amanda McCoy approaching Lex Luthor and handing him a device.
“Not much to look at, but Milton assured me it would work,” she says. “He did good,” Lex answers, inspecting the device. “How about we keep that between us?” McCoy continues. “The last thing that brainiac needs is this going to his head.”
This appears to be a nod to Milton Fine, who was...

The fourth and final season of Superman and Lois premieres later tonight with a double episode, and showrunner Todd Helbing has now revealed an interesting new detail about the series finale.
Even though the versions of the Man of Steel (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) who lead the show made their debuts in one of The CW's Arrowverse crossovers, season 2 of S&l made it clear that the series does not take place in the same continuity.
However, Helbing says the final episode will still "honor" the Arrowverse, which officially came to an end with The Flash last year.
"Inherently there's so many pressures you feel with a TV show — just writing the script was pressure, and then producing it, and the second that the show began, it's about Superman and Lois Lane, so there's a responsibility that comes with that too," Helbing tells Entertainment Weekly. "With the Arrowverse,...

Superman and Lois is about to kick off its final season, so here are a few things to remember from the Season 3 finale!
When Superman and Lois season 4 ends, it will also be the end of the Arrowverse. After 12 years, the epic franchise that gave DC heroes their biggest limelight will finally close out, mostly thanks to the mess happening behind the scenes at The CW. It’s a bittersweet farewell, even if the show still has a lot to offer.
Season 3 was notable for the show as Superman (Tyler Hochelin) faced challenges while Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) fought cancer. There was also the introduction of a leaner, meaner Lex Luthor (Michael Cudlitz), who ironically had a bigger beef with Clark and Lois than with Superman. As fans get ready for Superman and Lois season 4 (which sadly has a big cast exodus), here are a few things to remember from the Season 3 finale.

Most of you will know Elizabeth Henstridge best for her role as Jemma Simmons in Marvel Television's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but she's also stepped behind the camera to helm episodes of that, Gotham Knights, and Superman & Lois.
Today, ComicBook.com brings word that the actor will play Lex Luthor's daughter in season 4! The character doesn't have a name yet but it's said that "Luthor is fixated on reuniting with his daughter, who left in her teens when Lex was convicted of murder and went to jail."
While Henstridge will direct episode five of Superman & Lois, how many instalments of the 10-episode fourth and final season she'll appear in as this character is unclear.
Talking about the casting, executive producer Brent Fletcher said, "I worked with her on Agents of Shield, and she's unbelievable. She's an unbelievable actress and just the greatest person to work with.

Superman and Lois returns to our screens for its fourth and final season on October 7 with an extended premiere, and it sounds like these last episodes will build to something we have yet to see in any previous Superman-based project.
According to TV Line, the series finale will "do something that no previous Man of Steel-themed TV series or movie has ever done before."
This covers a lot of ground - especially if animated projects are included (they don't specify if it's only live-action), so it's difficult to come up with one particular thing no previous Superman movie or show has ever touched upon.
We're sure there are a few comic book aficionados out there who will be able to at least hazard a guess, so be sure to let us know what you think in the comments section down below.

Superman and Lois returns to our screens for its fourth and final season on October 7 with a 2-episode premiere, and The CW has now released a full trailer which will likely hit fans of the series right in the feels.
We already knew that the Man of Steel (Tyler Hoechlin) would be checking out pretty early on after the events of the season 3 finale, but this teaser shows the moment Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) and their sons discover Clark's body after his fateful battle with the monstrous Doomsday.
It looks like Jordan (Alex Garfin) will step up and attempt to fill the void left by his legendary father, but will he have what it takes to match wits with Lex Luthor (Michael Cudlitz)? The trailer also suggests that Doomsday might still be a threat, which would be a change from the Death of Superman comic, as Superman neutralizes his enemy before succumbing to his injuries.

Superman & Lois producers and co-showrunners Todd Helbing and Brent Fletcher have revealed how long they originally intended the show to run. The fourth and final season of the fan-favorite CW series will premiere in October.
The producers, alongside the show's stars Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch, discussed the Superman series extensively with Entertainment Weekly. Helbing and Fletcher revealed they had always hoped and planned for Superman & Lois to run for at least seven seasons. Nexstar Media Group's acquisition of the CW saw most of the network's original shows shelved. While the last Arrowverse-related series was not immediately on the chopping block, it will now end three seasons shy of its initial conception. The showrunners, cast, and all involved with Superman & Lois are at least consoled by the fact that they completed the story. "We were able to end it exactly how we wanted to end it, and...

Not every Superman & Lois character will receive as much screen time in season 4, but showrunner Todd Helbing remains committed to seeing their stories through to the end.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Helbing and fellow showrunner Brent Fletcher discussed the reluctant choice to bump much of Superman & Lois' supporting cast from series regulars to guest appearances before the show officially concludes its run. "Unfortunately, with the state of the business, we had to do it," he admitted, while Fletcher called their situation "one of the decisions that unfortunately was made [to make the final season happen]. That was a lot of the secret sauce that helped us get this done."

Superman & Lois will air its fourth and final season in Oct. While the series promises to tie up loose ends, the series' titular stars, Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch, did not know what the final episode would entail until they started filming.
"I still didn't know the actual ending until we got pretty close to it," Hoechlin told Entertainment Weekly. "We had discussed potential endings throughout the various seasons, what we thought would be kind of cool, and even up until about halfway through the season, I was still wondering which direction they were going to go." Tulloch also shared her thoughts on the finale, describing it as "a very emotional" episode. "There will be closure, and everyone's going to be crying in the final episode of the series. I did," she revealed.

Earlier this week, we brought you the official synopses for Superman & Lois' upcoming two-part premiere. Now, that's been followed by a synopsis for the entire fourth season!
This one sheds more light on Lex Luthor's twisted master plan and what we can expect from supporting characters like John Henry Irons, Chrissy Beppo, and Kyle Cushing. As for the Man of Steel himself, all we learn here is that he's "locked in a ferocious, moon-wrecking battle" with Doomsday.
If The CW is planning to adapt the Death and Resurrection of Superman from the comics, we're not exactly shocked his role in this fourth and final season is being kept under wraps.
Here's the full Superman & Lois season 4 synopsis:
Season four of Superman & Lois picks up right where last season left off: with Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) and Luthor’s monster locked in a ferocious, moon-wrecking battle, as Clark (Tyler...

Superman & Lois co-showrunners Todd Helbing and Brent Fletcher have consistently teased several cameo appearances across the show's upcoming season, recently confirming the inclusion of a "significant character" from the comics. The fourth and final season of The CW series will debut this October.
Per TV Line, Superman & Lois' creators teased that "there is a pretty significant character from the comics that we were actually surprised that we were able to use and it's pretty soon in the season. You hear the name drop, then start hearing that name drop more, and then you see that person eventually." Given the depth of Superman's stable of characters from the source material, it would almost be impossible to speculate as to the identity of the character who could also possibly be one from the wider DC Universe.

We recently learned that Superman & Lois will return for its fourth and final season a little sooner than expected on October 7 and The CW has just shared the official descriptions for the two-part premiere.
The first is titled "The End & The Beginning" and teases, "Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) is locked in a brutal battle with Luthor’s monster; Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) and the boys race against time to save General Lane (Dylan Walsh). Gregory Smith directed the episode written by Brent Fletcher & Todd Helbing."
The second episode is going to be called "A World Without" but this synopsis understandably offers no real insights into the outcome of the Man of Steel's battle with Doomsday.
However, it sounds like Lex Luthor is still on the loose and about to enact his twisted plan for Smallville. "Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and Sarah (Inde Navarrette) join the fight against Luthor (Michael Cudlitz), who starts making moves in Smallville.

The CW has confirmed today that the fourth and final season of Supergirl & Lois will premiere sooner than expected.
In response to ABC creating an 8 pm - 10 pm game show block on Mondays for Celebrity Wheel Of Fortune and Press Your Luck, The Wranglers is moving from Thursday to Monday, swapping nights with Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit.
With Tuesdays and Fridays spoken for thanks to WWE Nxt and Inside The NFL, the only choice was to move Superman & Lois, meaning it's now set to debut on Monday, October 7 instead of October 17.
Don't worry, though, because we're still getting the originally scheduled two-hour premiere. Superman & Lois will then continue to air on Mondays at 8 pm for the duration of its final season.
The CW's President of Entertainment Brad Schwartz has taken the network in a vastly different direction since it was home to the Arrowverse and shows like Supernatural and Riverdale.
