- Sangita Patel is one of the most engaging media personalities in Canada. Audiences are drawn to her daily as an entertainment reporter for ET Canada and she's also the host of HGTV's high-stakes show Home to Win. Sangita is a proud mom to two little girls, the most awesome wife to an awesome husband and a sometimes, okay, more than sometimes, annoying middle sister to three siblings. Yes, she is the one telling corny jokes and blasting Ice, Ice, Baby. While she loves to keep busy at work, she is also busy at home and somehow manages to find the time add in cameo roles in feature film such as Arrival, Life and Death of John F Donovan and TV series such as Guillermo Del Toro's The Strain.
Now, if you follow Sangita on social media you know she is a fitness freak who talks about crossfit all the time - like really - ALL THE TIME. She believes in a healthy lifestyle and uses her #FitnessTuesday to motivate others. Burning calories is a must because of her love of food and her weakness for pizza and cake...and who are we kidding, chocolate. Her other interests include fast cars - the ones with at least 400 HP under the hood, travelling the world, crossfit (in case you forgot), cooking, fashion and rubbing shoulders with the stars - which is an added perk of some work trips. George Clooney once even made her coffee!
Sangita is very passionate about education. So much because of her love of math and science she graduated as an Electrical Engineer and got her P.Eng designation. Her passion for science and television has lead her career to blossom on television as a weather specialist. Her transition continued after she accepted a position as the weekend weather anchor on CityNews. She branched into entertainment and lifestyle when she began filming segments for her very own segment on CityNews called "In the City", and later became a regular fill-in on Breakfast Television for both the Weather and Live Eye segments.
