- Writer
Riley Rheyan was born at home in BC, Canada to two hippy parents, David (a musician) and Amber (a registered massage therapist). She grew up in rural BC, surrounded by animals and had two pet sheep.
From a young age Riley wanted to work in film and often tried to bribe her way out of school in favor of starting her career early, but had to wait to graduate along with the rest of her class. She then went onto film school and after, began working in the film industry in Vancouver.
While working her way up, she began to write her own projects specializing in female-led narratives that intimately explore themes of grief, relationships, and mortality. Riley's work is characterized by its heartfelt storytelling and emotional resonance, stemming from her award winning project "Cherry Blossoms in March" based on the life of her sister.
Her portfolio reflects a diverse range of roles, including writer, director, and producer. Riley has worked on both Hollywood productions and independent projects, where she consistently brings a fresh and authentic voice to the screen.
