Lora Dailey

Lora Dailey is an actor/writer based in Los Angeles. Notably, she played a leading role along with Danny Trejo in the Zephyr Bones' music video "The Arrow of Our Youth." Dailey played a supporting role in the period drama "The Lights Above," a 2024 Student Academy Awards Finalist. Her debut pilot script "Distressed or Drowning" won a Quarterfinalist placement in the Filmmatic Comedy Screenplay Awards 2023. She is also a series regular on the Dungeons & Dragons show "Fables of Refuge," a long-form fantasy improv show. After premiering the first episode, the show gained over 50,000 subscribers on YouTube, and continues to grow. Dailey has also appeared in several commercials, and has traveled to locations such as Tel Aviv, Israel and Riga, Latvia to shoot commercials for high-profile clients. She collaborated with the famed art photographer Buck Ellison to create two portraits in his series "Tender Option." The photographs have since been featured in The New Yorker, The LA Times, W Magazine and Aperture, and displayed at The Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, plus several museums in Europe.
Born as Lora Hakanson in St. Louis, Missouri, she began her professional training at Missouri State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. She also studied Shakespeare Performance at the Theatre Academy London, and trained in weapons and unarmed fighting for screen and stage at Rapier Wit in Toronto. Since taking up residence in Los Angeles, she continued her improv training with The Groundlings and The Second City, and trained for on-camera acting with Margie Haber.
