When you finish watching “You’re Cordially Invited,” odds are pretty good you will have one song in particular stuck in your head. But it is still a pretty robust soundtrack.

Now streaming on Prime Video, “You’re Cordially Invited” brings together two families who have unknowingly (and quite unintentionally) double-booked weddings on the same day. The problem is, the venue only typically hosts one wedding every weekend due to the size of the place. So, they decide to figure out how to share — but not nicely.

Will Ferrell has a well-earned reputation as the ultimate embarrassing dad and has once again proved his prowess in that department. This time, his son Magnus Ferrell has shared the delightfully mortifying tale of his father’s antics at his high school prom.

In a TikTok slideshow posted by Magnus, the 20-year-old “rated things” his famous father has done over the years. It wasn’t until the second slide that Magnus revealed his dad’s identity – the one and only Step Brothers star.

The hilarious image showed Magnus, dressed in a sharp gray suit, standing next to Will, decked out in full medieval lord attire – complete with a squire’s cap and a frilly ruff around his neck. “Dressed as a medieval lord to embarrass me at prom,” Magnus wrote, adding a “10000/10” rating. He captioned the post “true story.”

Unsurprisingly, the post’s comments section was flooded with surprised viewers...

Will Ferrell never seems to miss an opportunity to embarrass his children.

The Emmy-winning actor’s eldest son, Magnus Ferrell, recently took to TikTok to join the photo trend where users jokingly rate things their parents and family members have done throughout their lives. “Rating things my dad has done,” Magnus wrote on the first slide.

But it was the second slide that featured a throwback photo of an unforgettable moment for the father-son duo. In the image, the Anchorman actor appeared to be wearing a medieval costume, alongside his son in a gray suit.

“Dressed as a medieval lord to embarrass me at prom 10000/10,” Magnus wrote, adding in the caption, “True story.”

The TikTok post quickly went viral, currently sitting at more than 39 million views. Thousands of Will’s fans also took to the post’s comment section, seemingly surprised that Magnus was the Elf star’s son.

Will Ferrell made a special appearance at his son Magnus’ first live performance.

The “Spirited” actor brought his signature cowbell to the show, joining his 18-year-old onstage where Magnus and his band opened for The Psychedelic Furs at a recent charity event in support of Cancer For College. The organization, founded by Ferrell’s former roommate Craig Pollard, “provides need-based college scholarships and educational experiences to cancer survivors.”

Magnus’ set included three original songs, plus a cover of Radiohead‘s 1992 track “Creep”. While performing one of his singles titled “Back In Place”, released last month, the young artist’s famous father gave a nod to his iconic “More Cowbell” sketch from “Saturday Night Live”, which aired back in 2000.

Co-written by Ferrell, the sketch starred Christopher Walken as a music producer working in studio with a band attempting to record a track.

Will Ferrell put his world-renowned, incredibly specialized musical talent to good use over the weekend, popping up for a cowbell cameo during his son Magnus Ferrell’s set at a special charity event.
