Fabrice Kwizera

Fabrice Kwizera was born on March 28, 1994 in Bujumbura, Burundi where
he spent his childhood. At the age of 10 he left for Kenya as a
refugee. He studied art school. Later he joined the National Film
School of Kenya, NFSK. After completing his studies he returned to
Bujumbura where he started his career with belgian director Ivan
Goldschmidt in a short movie (Na Wewe).
He later starred in a congolese film Viva Riva! directed by Djo Tunda Wa Munga. In 2011 he was nominated Best Young Actor at the 7th African Movie Academy Awards for his role in Viva Riva!, the movie that won 6 African movie awards, an MTV award for best African film and has sold widely internationally (US, UK, Australia, France, Germany...)
