Born in Dallas, John Lee Hunter was introduced to the stage during his
teenage years. His mother, Marylou, who was an accomplished pianist and
accordionist, often conducted the orchestra in the local community
theater. Mr. Hunter spent his time in the theater painting sets,
hanging out backstage, and occasionally taking on small roles in the
productions. At 14, he took on the job of Stage Manager for "How to
Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" at the Irving (Texas)
Community Theater.
While many in his family followed a path of music, Mr. Hunter followed the visual route of artist and designer. Mr. Hunter's first production with Morcaman Productions, Inc. was a broadcast TV show, "Holiday Melodies Embraced" (2009) starring David Carr, Jr. The collaboration with Morcaman Productions, Inc. was productive and continued with the "Sprockets & Splices" (2009) TV series and other projects.
