Kate Laurie(II)

Kate produced her first feature film Strange Colours (Alena Lodkina) in 2017 which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and went on to be nominated for an AACTA award for Best Independent Feature. From 2013 - 2017 she worked with filmmaker Amiel Courtin-Wilson on a number of feature films and documentary projects. She line produced The Silent Eye (2016) and was Production Coordinator and Casting Director on Ruin (2013) and her work with Flood Projects has spanned across development, through to production and distribution. Kate is a producer on Courtin-Wilson's 2019 film The Empyrean. Kate has developed relationships with the next generation of directors and writers, making numerous short films and music videos with filmmakers including Alena Lodkina, Isaac Wall, Lewis Attey, Sherwin Akbarzadeh and Santilla Chingaipe. In 2019 she participated as a producer in the Berlinale Talents program. Also in 2019 she completed the documentary series Third Culture Kids with writer/director Santilla Chingaipe and producer Chloe Brugale. Kate has several features in development and is working with Arenamedia supporting the company's slate of projects.
