John DelVento's passion for music permeates his life. He has been composing, performing, teaching, and producing music for more than 20 years, primarily in the film and television industries.
A lover and student of music for as long as he can remember, his musical journey began with the euphonium, a unique brass instrument, as a child. John then proceeded to major in music at The Hartt School studying music education and performance, dabbling in music composition and production projects throughout. He soon found a home in TV music, with music placements on network shows such as "Chopped", "Bar Rescue", "Pawn Stars", Impractical Jokers", "Love and Hip-Hop", "Real Housewives", "WWE: Smackdown", and more. In addition to commercials and television, John also enjoys composing film and game scores, most notably for the documentaries "Veil of Silence," "FagBug: Nation," and the adventure game "Exogenesis: Perils of Rebirth".
While many composers abandon their study of musical instruments, John continues to embrace his first musical love. As a multi-instrumentalist, he has performed with orchestras and bands on the timeless stages of Carnegie Hall, The Musikverein, Symphony Hall, The Bushnell, and many other storied venues across the globe.
As an educator John maintains a teaching schedule as a band director, music technology consultant, guest clinician, and private music instructor to students of all age groups and skill levels.
Currently residing in Connecticut, John is a member of Broadcast Music Inc, the National Association for Music Education, The Society of Composers and Lyricists, and the American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers.
