Mumbai, June 27 (Ians) Writer and director Prawaal Raman, who has worked with Randeep Hooda in ‘Darna Zaroori Hai’ and ‘Main Aur Charles’, has once again collaborated with the actor for the upcoming film ‘Sergeant’, which also stars actor Adil Hussain. The director spoke about Randeep and Adil, referring to the former as his “teacher”.

When asked about working with Randeep again, the director said, “Randeep is not just an actor for me but more like a teacher. It’s a very difficult character to play and itneeded the best. Only Randeep could have used his passion and dedication to another level and it needed that brilliance.”

The Bhatts have sought one crore rupees in damages from Lodh and also sought an order restraining her from making false claims against them in future. This followed Lodh's earlier claim in an Instagram video that Mahesh Bhatt was trying to harass her and her family. In the video, Lodh had said she was married to Bhatt's nephew Sumit Sabharwal and that she left him because he allegedly dealt in drugs and women. She added Mahesh Bhatt was aware of these facts.

Mumbai, Oct 24 (Ians) The legal representative of actress Amyra Dastur has refuted claims by actress Luviena Lodh that Amyra used to procure drugs. A statement issued by her lawyer declares that Amyra is considering legal remedies against such accusations.

On Friday, actress Luviena Lodh had issued an Instagram video statement declaring that she sought divorce from filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's nephew Sumit Sabharwal because, she alleged, she had discovered that Sabharwal was into drug running and supplying women to directors. Luviena added that Bhatt, who was aware of all this, has been harassing her and her family ever since.

Among claims that Luviena made in her video was: "I have filed for a divorce on getting to know that he (Sumit Sabharwal) supplies drugs to actors like Amyra Dastur and Sapna Pabbi etc.

Amyra's legal team has now responded to the allegations.

Talking about why he agreed to be part of the show, the 'Captain Fantastic' told the publication, "It's a story about characters who lose their focus in life and how football brings them together. This is a story of redemption, where sport gives them a chance to find their way in life."

"It is a motivational story. For me, of course, it's football that brings me here to be part of this endeavour. I just hope that a lot of people watch this and get motivated in life," he said.

2015 has been terrible so far when it comes to films starring rank newcomers. While almost all of them have failed to see even a 1 crore opening on Day One, the only film which saw some sort of footfalls was Khamoshiyan, which brought in 1.9 crore on its first Friday. As a matter of fact, even that film had an actor (Ali Fazal) who had been seen in a few films before, though Sapna Pabbi and Gurmeet Choudhary were absolutely fresh. Another newcomer affair was Second Hand Husband which was the launchpad of Gippy Grewal and Tina Ahuja. However, the film was a dismal failure with an opening day of 60 lakhs.

Between the two films, Khamoshiyan went on to have the weekend collections of 6.5 crore. Now it is expected that Hero, the newest film with debutants Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty, would manage to achieve this total on the opening Friday itself.

We all know that Mahesh Bhatt is a man of a lot of words. So the entire cast couldn’t stop laughing when Mahesh Bhatt was asked why he was doing a film titled Khamoshiyan. But Bhatt, in his trademark style, was quick to respond, “When you talk yourself out, you feel exhausted. Then silence takes over, but that deafening silence is more eloquent than all the words that you have spoken.”

He further added, “Khamoshiyan It is a film which is made with great confidence by a 23-year-old director – Karan Darra. Though it is a supernatural, erotic thriller, the writer and director have shown tremendous confidence. And they have conveyed it through silences. That is what makes the film beautiful. It is a very mature work.

John Abraham's Ja Entertainment is all set to join hands with Utv Motion Pictures and Shoojit Sircar's Rising Sun Films to bring to the audiences a fun and entertaining film revolving around Indian shaadis. Promising to have all the required elements of a big fat Indian wedding with overdose of emotions, generation gap issues, dance, loads of ceremonies, this movie will also be the launching vehicle for TV actor Barun Sobti (last seen in 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon') and actress Sapna Pabbi (played the daughter of Anil Kapoor in '24'). The film will be directed by debutant Arshad Syed and is said to have an ensemble cast of 50 actors in totality. Satra Ko Shaadi Hai is slated for a release in 2015.
