Coming off an original-film heavy February, Netflix has a mix of classics, theatrical releases and original projects arriving in March 2025.

Those seeking action-packed installments that will get adrenaline going can tune in for The Electric State starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt arriving March 14 to the streamer or Den of Thieves 2: Pantera which arrives March 19. Others in the mood for feel-good or funny films can enjoy a selection that have largely already landed as of the first of the month, which include 50 First Dates, Wedding Crashers and more.

The action film directed by the Russo brothers arrives on the streamer March 14. Starring Chris Pratt and Millie Bobby Brown, the film follows the pair through a sci-fi adventure in a world with sentient robots.

Deadline reports that Netflix has scooped up The Forgotten Realms, a live-action Dungeons & Dragons TV series from Shawn Levy (Deadpool & Wolverine) and Drew Crevello (WeCrashed).

You may recall that the Dungeons & Dragons series was originally developed for Paramount+, which gave it an eight-episode, straight-to-series order in 2023. The project was originally overseen by Rawson Marshall Thurber (Red Notice), and Crevello later joined as executive producer and showrunner. However, it didn’t move forward and Hasbro Entertainment began the process of shopping the series elsewhere.

Crevello wrote the pilot for The Forgotten Realms and will serve as showrunner. He will also executive produce alongside Levy and Dan Levine through their 21 Laps Entertainment banner. It’s still early days, but it could launch a Dungeons & Dragons universe for Netflix.

Review: My Spy originally debuted at the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic after being pulled from release in August 2019. With mediocre reviews, the Dave Bautista-led action-comedy was solid family entertainment when audiences sorely needed new things to watch. Four years later, Dave Bautista and Chloe Coleman have reunited for a sequel that is bigger and better than the original but still nowhere near as good as it should be.

The James Bond jetpack sequence in “Thunderball” (1965) was a cheesy-awesome thing that was like, “Whoa! The generation that grew up with such gems like The Game Plan, The Pacifier, and The Spy Next Door may have been prone to share the Dave Bautista-led movie with their children or younger relatives, but the former athlete/action star meets precocious child actor formula wasnt enthusiastically welcomed in 2020. This was also the sentiment shared about My Spy, and yet it got a sequel with My Spy: The Eternal City, an unnecessary follow-up that struggles at every turn.

Back in January 2020, Australians were the very first moviegoers to see My Spy when it was released in theaters. In the following months, it was supposed to slowly roll out globally. However, plans changed significantly when Covid-19 hit and many theaters worldwide shut their doors. This family-friendly spy comedy starring Dave Bautista and Chloe Coleman was set to face major release delays internationally until it was picked up by Amazon Prime Video. It was soon released in the USA in June 2020 and was a massive hit with audiences, ultimately becoming the third most-watched SVOD title of that year, respectively.
