With months of meticulous planning behind them, Pooja Entertainment is Bollywood’s first production house off the block to shoot a complete schedule of its big-budget spy thriller Bellbottom with Akshay Kumar in the lead.
Bellbottom, a retro drama with Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta was announced late last year. Pooja Entertainment took the decision to shoot a start to finish stint keeping the global health crisis in mind.
Now, using the latest technology, the film team is all set for an extended shoot beginning soon. Besides medical-grade masks and face shields, after consulting medical experts, the production house is making it mandatory for all cast and crew to wear a wrist watch that will constantly monitor their oxygen levels, body temperature, blood pressure, stress levels and pulse. A centralized dashboard will constantly record the parameters of the entire unit and keep a check for any changes in readings.

After months of practicing the art of playing Badminton, actress Parineeti Chopra began shooting for Saina Nehwal’s upcoming biopic in October 11th in Vasai, Mumbai. The movie traces the journey of the badminton ace to World No 1, traveling across countries and highlighting the milestones of her career.
For the movie they have built 12 sets around Mumbai in the out-skirts to recreate the badminton courts from across the globe, where Saina played the major matches of her career.
Talking about the recreated sets, director Amole Gupte shares, “We have already completed over five court design. Each Court represents a different match right from the Czech Republic to Malina.”
Designed and recreated by Amit Ray and Subrata Chakravorty, who has earlier worked with director Sanjay Leela Bansali for Padmaavat and Akshay Kumar’s Kesari, the ace director says, “Amit and Subrata are my dearest friends and have worked with me on Hawaa Hawaai and Sniff.

When the song Teri Mitti?plays and the end credit roles, you wonder why it took so many years to say this incredible tale of courage. When it comes to stories that undoubtedly needs to be told in mainstream Bollywood cinema, it?s Akshay Kumar no need to look further.
The Story of Kesari
A dramatized account of one of the most heroic battle of honor ?The Battle of Saragarhi where 21 Sikh soldiers fought against an Afghan army of 10000 men in the year 1897.
