Asante White

Asante is a veteran filmmaker and active member of both the Producers Guild of America and the Directors Guild of America. With more than fifteen years of film and television experience, his extensive creative and physical production background has allowed him to climb the ladder quickly. With several hundred television episodes in his credits, in addition to the pilot series' "Perimeter" and "Route 187", he has also produced several feature films, including "The Other Side" (STARZ), "Tyson's Run" (Universal), which became the No. 2 inspirational and No. 8 most streamed movie worldwide; and in March of 2024 became the No. 4 movie in the U.S. on Netflix, and "Maxine's Baby: The Tyler Perry Story" (Amazon MGM Studios) which became the No. 1 movie in the U.S. Asante also produced "En El Bronx" Part 2, a narrative short film musical featuring, which was an official selection of the Tribeca Film Festival in 2024.

Beginning his journey at Tyler Perry Studios, he started as a production assistant before working his way up to become a producer. The experience in over a dozen positions on multiple management levels contributes to his producing acumen and allows deep understanding and insight into production and filmmaking.
