Just in time for Halloween, a trailer for the BuzzFeed Studios-produced comedy thriller F Marry Kill made its way online (you can watch it in the embed above), and at that time the film was set to receive a digital, VOD, and limited theatrical release on December 6th. Since then, the release was pushed back to sometime in March in an effort to align the domestic release with its international roll-out… but some of the PVOD platforms didn’t get the message. As Deadline reports, F Marry Kill reached some digital stores and PVOD on December 6th, then disappeared a few hours later. So if you managed to catch the movie during that brief window last Friday – congratulations, you got a special sneak peek! If you didn’t catch it, there’s still three months left to wait for it.

Online dating is a hellscape. That's about the only thing F Marry Kill gets right. Laura Murphy's true-crime-obsessed thriller exploits the very real perils of trusting profile pictures and text prompts enough for in-person interactions — from a bubblegum-gossip perspective? Writers Meghan Brown, Ivan Diaz, and Dan Scheinkman turn dating games into a paranoid loop of podcast feedback where one woman's "rebound" period could end in death, only to waste all that with an atrocious finale. A shaky start requires an impeccable dismount, yet F Marry Kill crumbles like the Final Destination 5 gymnast.

Approximately one-third of the Netflix true crime thriller “Woman of the Hour” takes place on set of “The Dating Game,” where real-life serial killer Rodney Alcala was a contestant in the 1970s. So, the production designer for the Anna Kendrick-directed film had two missions: to accurately recreate the well-known set and to make that colorful, cheery space highlight the irony of a murderer’s participation on a romantic game show.
“Woman of the Hour,” written by Ian McDonald, is structured to jump back and forth in time to dates where Alcala committed his heinous killings, while “The Dating Game” show anchors the action. Kendrick also stars in the film, portraying Cheryl Bradshaw (Sheryl for the movie), the unwitting bachelorette on the 1978 episode.
One of the first questions production designer Brent Thomas asked himself was, “How do we help the audience experience what Sheryl is going through on the set?...

You never know who you might meet on a dating show — but you might just know some of the faces you’ll see on said show in “Woman of the Hour.”
Directed by Anna Kendrick — marking her directorial debut — the film, now streaming on Netflix, tells the bizarrely true story of how a serial killer went on “The Dating Game,” and won. His appearance on the show was square in the middle of his killing spree, and he wasn’t even caught because of the show.
Not only does Kendrick direct, but she also stars in the film, alongside some other familiar faces.
Here’s who you need to know in “Woman of the Hour.”

At its best, horror seeks to move us, entertain us, scare our pants off and elicit similar kinds of thrills as roller coasters do. But for those that aim a little higher — no, not in an "elevated horror" sort of way (whatever that means), but simply in terms of ambition — there's also an added responsibility to sneak in some clever observations about our world that we've generally taken for granted, done in ways that other genres simply aren't capable of accomplishing. In other words, with copious amounts of blood, guts, and gnarly kills.
When a particular movie or show manages to hit all those pleasure centers in our impressionable brains, it elicits the kind of cathartic responses found in something like Jordan Peele's deeply provocative "Nope." When an otherwise promising piece of horror media stumbles in that pursuit, well, let's just say that things can go sideways pretty quickly.

"I have quite the weekend in store for you…" Paramount Movies has unveiled an official trailer for a freaky horror thriller Margaux, the latest bland creation from B-movie action director Steven C. Miller. Yet another new "Artificial Intelligent turns against people" uninspired thriller, especially one that's about a smart home that turns deadly (why this again?). A group of college friends rent a smart house for a weekend of partying. Later, they start to realize that "Margaux", the house's super advanced AI system, has sinister designs for them. The cast features Madison Pettis, Vanessa Morgan, Richard Harmon, Lochlyn Munro, Jedidiah Goodacre, Phoebe Miu, Jordan Buhat, Brittany Mitchell, and Louis Lay. This is another of these "how does this junk keep getting made" kind of movies. It looks so cheesy and forgettable. ›››

Wholesome young stars – and Vanessa Redgrave – do their best with this anodyne Irish-set love story
Although the main characters in this romantic tale are meant to be just over 18, this Sky Movies release is manifestly aimed at a much younger market with its sex-free storyline and nice-girls-finish-first morality. Sure, the plot is as corny as Cracker Jack, revolving as it does around wholesome blond normcore kid Finley (Rose Reid), an aspiring violinist, who arrives in rural Ireland from New York to do a semester abroad and falls in love with non-threateningly baby-faced movie star Beckett (Jedidiah Goodacre).
But the film-makers have taken pains to gussy it up with a few contemporary details. For example, Beckett is in Ireland to work on a Game of Thrones-style fantasy movie series. Meanwhile Finley, compelled by her Irish Studies teacher to mingle with a local elder, reads the Twilight novels to her assigned crotchety old biddy Cathleen.

Warner Bros.’ Those Who Wish Me Dead was declared Doa as it opened in the US over the weekend, but Australian audiences took to the neo-Western, with the film topping the box office.
Directed by Taylor Sheridan (Hell or High Water), the film is co-led by young Aussie talent Finn Little, who plays a teenager who witnesses the murder of his father and goes on the run with a smokejumper (Angelina Jolie) through the wilderness in order to escape a pair of assassins (Nicholas Hoult and Aiden Gillen) hired to silence him.
WB opened the film on 249 screens, grossing $1.2 million. In the US, where it premiered simultaneously on HBO Max, it garnered just $US2.8 million.
While Majestic Cinemas CEO Kieren Dell regards the weekend past as “one of the slowest of the year”, Those Who Wish Me Dead was a strong performer across his sites in regional Nsw and Queensland.

With the script for Brian Baugh’s “Finding You” (in theaters May 14) centering around violinist Finley (Rose Reid) traveling to the Irish coast for a semester, composer Kieran Kiely couldn’t help but say yes to the opportunity since music was part of the storyline.
In this coming-of-age story, Finley searches for herself, discovers her passion for music and finds unexpected romance with Jedidiah Goodacre’s Beckett Rush.
Kiely collaborated with fellow composer Timothy Williams and together they navigated their way across continents to build the film’s source music and score amid a pandemic.
How did you divide the music work on the film?
Kieran Kiely: We had to do a lot of work in advance of the filming because the whole film is all about music; she’s a fiddler, there’s the music we hear in the pub, the music Seamus (Patrick Bergin) teaches her, and there’s the score.

Don’t be fooled by the empowerment-sounding title of “Finding You”: The engine of writer-director Brian Baugh’s romantic comedy isn’t driven by the woman herself, but by the men who are continually placed in power positions that directly inform her arc. Where it would have been nice to see the heroine unlocking her own potential, the film instead focuses on her finding an intercontinental romance with a dashing young man, life coaching from an unlikely male ally and a mysterious message from her deceased older brother. This not-insignificant miscalculation aside, however, effervescent performances from an ebullient ensemble make “Finding You” a palatable and compelling female coming-of-age tale.
As if beckoned by the siren call of the bubbly pop song on the soundtrack, violinist Finley Sinclair (Rose Reid) emerges from the depths of the subway, a seemingly confident young woman negotiating New York City’s frenetic hustle and bustle.

Finley (Rose Reid) is an aspiring violinist who just botched her biggest audition ever. Beckett (Jedidiah Goodacre) is a Hollywood bad boy who is growing weary of fame. When fate (read: a winking flight attendant) seats them together on a cross-continental flight, sparks — quite predictably, mostly uncomfortably — fly. Such is the setup of Brian Baugh’s “Finding You,” , right down to its winking take on “Notting Hill.”
There’s nothing inherently wrong with using the cinematic grammar and usual expectations of a genre to attempt something new, but for every slightly inventive element in “Finding You,” Baugh piles on three times as many other bits of been-there, done-that plotting. For instance: Beckett’s prickly attitude toward his celebrity adds actual pathos to the film. He’s been famous for years, and his sniveling stage dad, played by Tom Everett Scott, has turned him into nothing more than a product to sell.

"Not really my type." Roadside Attractions has released an official trailer for a cute Irish romance film titled Finding You. Finley, a talented aspiring violinist, meets Beckett, a famous young movie star (more "Game of Thrones" though), on the way to her college semester abroad program in a small coastal village in Ireland. An unexpected romance emerges as heartthrob Beckett leads Finley on an adventurous reawakening, and she emboldens him to take charge of his future, until the pressures of his stardom get in the way. It was shot exclusively in Ireland, in and around Dublin, Claire, Offaly and Kildare. The film's "village set" location was in the beautiful town of Carlingford. This one stars Rose Reid and Jedidiah Goodacre, with Katherine McNamara, Patrick Bergin, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, and Judith Hoag, with Tom Everett Scott and Vanessa Redgrave. "I just got here now." Sizzle Snap Productions has released an official trailer for a horror short film titled Hunter's Cabin, the latest from South African producer-turned-filmmaker N'Cee Van Heerden. This is his second short following I.O. a few years ago, and before that he worked as a field producer on almost all of Neill Blomkamp's South African films. Now he's based in Vancouver, BC (same as Neill Blomkamp) and has moved into directing his own films. Hunter's Cabin follows a young father who withdraws to a remote cabin to face his curse alone. But he’s not the only one with a dark past in the woods that night. Starring Jedidiah Goodacre, Toby Hargrave, and Sam Spear. This is quite an entrancing tease. No idea when this short film will end up online, but we'll definitely keep an eye out and let you know when it debuts.

Descendants 3 unfolds on “Vk Day” as fair-minded the Villain Kids cross the barrier and return to their birthplace, the Isle of the Lost, to bring four deserving Villain Kids to the coveted Auradon Prep in a land where they have a chance at success, happiness and fulfillment. But it’s Mal who knows she must resolve to close the barrier to the Isle of the Lost permanently, fearing that nemeses Uma (China Anne McClain) and Hades (franchise newcomer Cheyenne Jackson) will wreak vengeance on her new home, the idyllic kingdom now ruled by her beloved King Ben. Despite her decision, an unfathomable dark force still threatens the people of Auradon, and...

We take a look at all of the Archie and pop culture Easter Eggs from Sabrina Season 2!
This Chilling Adventures of Sabrina article contains nothing but spoilers. We have a spoiler-free review right here if you prefer.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is back, and we didn't realize exactly how much we missed it. This new batch of episodes takes our characters -- led by Kiernan Shipka's titular teenage witch -- down a darker path than ever before. (Which is super fitting seeing how Satan is a supporting player in the series).
Just as is the case with its sort-of companion series Riverdale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a series that rewards paying close attention with pop culture and Archie references a plenty. Here then is an overview of what allusions, reference, Easter eggs, and other noteworthy notables we noticed while devouring the season.

Good Morning America made a pit stop in Auradon on Friday to debut a new trailer for Descendants 3, the latest installment in Disney Channel’s ongoing saga of iconic villains and their disobedient, musically inclined offspring.
Premiering this summer, the movie pits the series’ core four — Dove Cameron as Maleficent’s daughter Mal, Sofia Carson as the Evil Queen’s daughter Evie, Cameron Boyce as Cruella de Vil’s son Carlos and Booboo Stewart as Jafar’s son Jay — against foes both familiar (China Anne McClain as Ursula’s daughter Uma) and new (Cheyenne Jackson as Hades).
Per Descendants 3‘s official synopsis,...

With her name now written in the Dark Lord's book, Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka) has an edgy new attitude in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and before the show returns to Netflix with new episodes on April 5th, a new trailer has been revealed, giving viewers a hint of the hellraising (perhaps quite literally) to come in Part 2.
While Sabrina Spellman has gotten used to having one foot in the mortal world and the other in the Dark Lord's realm, it looks like she'll explore the Path of Night more than ever before in Part 2 of the series, which will also include new arrivals such as Dorian Gray (Jedidiah Goodacre) and Alexis Denisof as the boyfriend of Mary Wardwell.
Last December, it was revealed that Netflix had ordered 16 new episodes of the popular witchcraft series that's set in the same world as The CW's Riverdale (with both shows having origin...
