It has been a while since When Hope Calls, the sequel to the popular When Calls the Heart, first premiered on Hallmark on Hallmark Movies Now (now Hallmark+) in 2019.

With its change of streaming platform to Great American Family, fans never realized how long it would take for season 2 to arrive.

The series first premiered on Hallmark Movies Now in 2019, focusing on the lives of sisters Lillian (Morgan Kohan) and Grace (Jocelyn Hudon) as they managed an orphanage in Brookfield. However, Hudon will not reprise her role for the upcoming Season 2.

Great American Family shared the official teaser for the second season on its Instagram page, giving Hopefuls a glimpse into the new season. The post revealed the premiere date and shared a short clip. Mountie Michael (Christopher Russell) sits inside a cafe. He stops Nora (Cindy Busby) abruptly when she walks by his table. She recognizes him but realizes that he is warning her about the puddle of water that’s on the floor. “Hate to see you have an accident,” Michael says, and they exchange a sweet smile.

When Hope Calls sets official season 2 premiere date on Great American Family

The When Calls the Heart spinoff, When Hope Calls, originated on Hallmark Channel in 2019 with a ten-episode first season. Meanwhile, the spinoff was relocated to Great American Family in 2021, to air two Christmas episodes. Now, season 2 will kick off its eight-episode show on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Moreover, the premiere episode is set to stream three days earlier on Thursday, April 3 on Pure Flix.

Meanwhile, it was announced that the popular series will be adding cast in the form of three new additions.

More than three years after its last original episode, When Hope Calls has finally set its Season 2 premiere date at Great American Family.

The When Calls the Heart spinoff — which originated on Hallmark in 2019 with a 10-episode Season 1, then relocated to Gaf in 2021 for a pair of Christmas episodes — will kick off its eight-episode sophomore season Sunday, April 6. (The premiere will stream three days earlier, Thursday, April 3, on Pure Flix.)

When Hope Calls season 2 gets a narrow release date. A spinoff of Hallmark Channel's When Calls the Heart, and based on the books by Janette Oke, the drama premiered in August 2019. The story follows a pair of sisters, Lillian Walsh (Morgan Kohan) and Grace Bennett (Jocelyn Hudon), in the town of Brookfield back in 1916. The cast also includes Ryan-James Hatanaka, Greg Hovanessian, Wendy Crewson, Marshall Williams, Hanneke Talbot, Neil Crone, and Full House alum Lori Loughlin. Although the adaptation was renewed back in December 2021, it's been a long wait to get to audiences.

TVLine was asked about when the spinoff might return. Although the outlet did not have an exact release window set, it was mentioned that When Hope Calls season 2 is expected to premiere on Great American Family in Q2 of 2025, which would narrow the release month to either April, May, or June. Earlier reports mentioned a January release date.

Procedural dramas in television tend to focus on a group of specialized professionals as they work to solve a wealth of complex problems. When Hope Calls is finally returning for its second season. Great American Family has announced that production on season two will begin this month, with an eight-episode season set to arrive in January 2025. The series, a spin-off of When Calls the Heart, was last seen with holiday specials airing in 2021. Season one aired in 2019.

FBI: International saw a pretty big cast turnover in season 3. First, Heida Reed left in the premiere with her Jamie Kellett written out as taking a new job in Washington with analyst Amanda Wolfe (Christina Tate) stepping in as her replacement.

After joining the team in season 2, Damien Powell (Greg Hovanessian) also left to go back to special operations. Then, in the season finale, team leader Scott Forrester went Awol to help his fugitive mother in a storyline that was forced by Luke Kleintank leaving the series after three seasons for personal reasons.

The season 3 finale did have Colin Donnell appearing as Brian Lange, a special agent aiding the team. However, rather than be Forrester’s replacement, Lange appears to have only been a guest star role.

Now, we are learning more about the new boss of the team, played by a top Chicago Pd star!

Spooky Pictures and Image Nation Abu Dhabi are joining forces once again for the upcoming horror movie Archangel, with THR reporting that Conor Leslie (“Titans”) will star.

Bryan Edward Hill wrote the script and directed the upcoming film. Archangel centers on a privately funded organization researching the possibility of life after death.

“It is targeted by an ancient entity that wants to keep mankind from understanding the true nature of the supernatural.”

Greg Hovanessian (Cardinal), Alyshia Ochse (True Detective), Azure Parsons (The Astronauts Wives Club) and Trevor Riley (Animal Kingdom) also star.

Archangel will have a presence at San Diego Comic Con next week, and The Hollywood Reporter notes that Bryan Edward Hill will expand the world of the movie with a graphic novel.

Conor Leslie, who played Donna Troy on DC show Titans, is starring in Archangel, a horror thriller from comic book and screenwriter Bryan Edward Hill.

As business gets back to normal for the Fly Team on FBI: International, two of the agents are going undercover. In the February 20 episode, “The Last Stop,” when an ex-fbi agent (guest star Jeffrey Pierce), who was captured by hostile forces in Libya years ago, suddenly resurfaces in a brutal Tripoli prison, Scott (Luke Kleintank) and Powell (Greg Hovanessian) risk everything to go undercover as prisoners to break him out. “What happens in there and what ensues is pretty crazy and epic,” Kleintank tells TV Insider. There was a bit of tension between the two agents in the premiere when it came to trying to track down the arms broker who was the target of the explosion; Powell was especially heated because Raines (Carter Redwood), in the aftermath, pushed him out of the way of a falling beam and, as a result, it was touch-and-go whether he’d lose his leg.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the FBI: International Season 3 premiere “June.”] The good news: The entire Fly Team survived that explosion that took out their offices. The bad news: FBI: International Season 3 still begins with them saying goodbye to everyone. In the aftermath of the explosion and tracking down the man who planted the bomb (and getting him to turn on his boss), the agent most injured is Raines (Carter Redwood), who saved Powell’s (Greg Hovanessian) life and ended up pinned under rubble; it’s touch and go, and it looks like he might lose his leg, but thanks to a call from Jubal (FBI‘s Jeremy Sisto) to get a surgeon to the hospital, he just has a long recovery ahead of him before he’ll be back out in the field. The wait is almost over to find out if the Fly Team lost anyone in the explosion we know at least destroyed FBI: International‘s main location, their headquarters. Season 3, which premieres on February 13 (in between FBI and Most Wanted), picks up right after the explosion to show the aftermath. Walker: Independence star Katherine McNamara recently revealed how she found out that the Western series had been canceled by The CW after one season.

"Oh goodness. I found out, you know, one of the showrunners and one of the producers called me, and you know, obviously it’s not, it’s not the call we want to get," the actor, who portrayed Abby Walker in Independence, said in an upcoming episode of The Wayne Ayers Podcast (via Just Jared Jr.). "It’s not the news we wanted to hear, but I think the show and the story will always have a special place in all of our hearts."
