Anchor Bay’s highly anticipated slasher Muck is getting released on Blu-ray and DVD, Arrow Video is resurrecting Mark of the Devil on Blu-ray for fans in the Us and Breaking Glass’s latest, A Cry From Within, is also coming to DVD as well.

They survived the horrors that stalked them in the swampy wilderness, but the group of young friends are far from being out of the woods in Steve Wolsh's Muck, the middle installment in a planned horror trilogy. A new clip for the horror feature Muck has been released. Leading up to a March 13th release, the clip shows actress Lauren Francesca as Mia, fighting off a creature. The creature is likely played by horror veteran Kane Hodder. As well, the film stars Lachlan Buchanan and Playboy Playmate Jaclyn Swedberg. A preview of the film's release is hosted here. From the synopsis, something emerges from the local marshes. Nearby, several friends are attacked by a creature and some are taken down into the muck. The latest clip for Muck is titled "Pitchfork." The clip shows the character Mia defending herself, with a tight costume and a sharp implement. The blood and gore flies in the middle of the night. Welcome to our latest horror round-up! We have news on Blumhouse Productions' upcoming family-friendly horror film and the event series adaptation of the massive monster comic book, Enormous, as well as a look at a new Videodrome-inspired poster from Cavity Colors and a special Hollywood screening for the Kane Hodder-starring fright film, Muck.

Blumhouse Family Horror Movie: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Harald Zwart (2010's The Karate Kid, Agent Cody Banks, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones) will direct an upcoming, untitled family-friendly horror film from Blumhouse Productions.

Robert Ben Garant (who played Deputy Travis Junior in the Reno 911! TV series and has co-penned Hell Baby and scripted Jessabelle and Blumhouse and Universal's upcoming The Veil) wrote the screenplay for the film, the plot of which has not yet been revealed. Jason Blum produces the project with Jeanette Brill and Couper Samuelson executive producing. Stay tuned to Daily Dead for further updates.

The third, and argubly sexiest, new trailer so far for next years release of indie slasher 'Muck' has landed. The trailer comes courtesy of Anchor Bay Entertainment who plan on rolling out the Steve Wolsh helmed horror into homes on 17 March shortly after a special limited theatrical run on the 13th. In the story, several friends visit an ancient burial ground. They hardly escape, when creatures emerge from the burrow. Two friends are missing and the survivors hole up in a Cape Cod vacation house. But, the creatures are not finished with them, yet. Muck is set to release shortly. The film will release in several theatres March 13th, before releasing through home entertainment platforms on March 17th, 2015. Writer/director Steve Wolsh is getting ready to Muck you up, again.

Earlier this week an exclusive clip was released from the Muck team through www.ScareTissue.com introducing the world to Wolsh's 'Muck Creepers'.

According to ScareTissue, the film is currently seeking additional funding for the Muck prequel through Kickstarter. Check out all the details below and watch the clip under the release.

WithanO Productions revealed a lengthy trailer for Muck and I honestly can't tell you what it's about.  I hoped the press release that accompanied the piece would tell me, but no luck.  The Facebook page?  No dice.  But that spot tells me, "Muck is the highly stylized and hyper-violent middle chapter of a true horror trilogy that unfolds like a love letter to horror fanatics everywhere."  The official site?  No go.

Oh well, I'll tell you what we do know: Kane Hodder appears somewhere in here and Playboy playmate Jaclyn Swedberg also stars for writer-director Steve Wolsh.  I'm going to just present the rest of the press release because it ends with something that drives me a bit crazy.
