A decade ago, director James Ward Byrkit brought us a surreal, Twilight Zone-ish sci-fi thriller called Coherence (watch it Here), which JoBlo’s own Eric Walkuski gave an 8/10 review you can read at This Link. Now Deadline has revealed that Byrkit and It’s What’s Inside producer Kate Andrews are teaming up to develop a follow-up of some sort to Coherence! As Deadline notes, “Plot details are being kept under lock and key — including whether the new film will be a prequel, sequel, or a different story entirely.”
Byrkit crafted the story for the first film with Alex Manugian, coming up with the following set-up: Eight friends at a dinner party experience a troubling chain of events due to the malevolent influence of a passing comet.
Coherence starred Emily Foxler, who now goes by Emily Baldoni (Five Feet Apart), Maury Sterling (Smokin’ Aces), Nicholas Brendon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Seeking a Friend for the End of the World...

"She's never slept in a nice bed before." MGM has revealed the official trailer for a movie titled Dog, a story about a man and his best friend. "A filthy animal unfit for human company... and a dog." This one is opening in February, after a pandemic delay from this year. Disgraced Army Ranger Briggs and his Belgian Malinois companion Lulu race down the Pacific Coast in time to catch their best friend's and her handler's funeral. Okay this looks adorable and amusing and wholesome. A story about two animals helping each other get better.

As if news of The Rock’s return to the wrestling world wasn’t exciting enough, Dwayne Johnson and his prolific Seven Bucks Productions have gathered together an exciting roster of talent for Fighting With My Family, the true-life drama poised to chronicle the life and career of WWE superstar Paige.
On the heels of Vince Vaughn’s casting, Johnson’s Instagram feed has confirmed today that Kim Matula, Ellie Gonsalves and Aqueela Zoll have capped off the film’s casting spree just as production gets underway. The post stops short of mentioning how each of their respective characters factor into the story, but given how Johnson alludes to their training regimes both in and out of the ring, it seems safe to assume that Matula, Gonsalves and Zoll will play three WWE Divas.
Elsewhere, writer-director Stephen Merchant (The Office, Portal) will shepherd Fighting With My Family as director, and...

The first shot of Bad Timing, which shows a bloody piece of clothing, forecasts a macabre zombie thriller. Looks can be deceiving, though, and Bad Timing is far from your typical zombie series. Instead, it's a romance about a love triangle at the end of the world. Bad Timing stars Andy Goldenberg (known as Goldentusk on YouTube) as a socially awkward dweeb who finds himself as one of two survivors of a zombie apocalypse. His only companion is Eve (Aqueela Zoll), his coworker and the girl of his dreams. The series follows Andy's attempts to woo Eve, which are interrupted by the sudden reappearance of her hunky boyfriend Kevin (Michael Foster). 12 episodes in, there's still no sign of the zombies, and Bad Timing's smart script continues to take center stage. The zombie-comedy-romance is a well-tread mash-up, but Goldenberg doesn't think an innovative concept is necessary for a winning series.

It seems that Fox Home Entertainment are willing to take yet another 'Wrong Turn' and have begun working on the sixth installment in the backward hillbilly franchise which began all the way back in 2003. 'Wrong Turn 6' is currently shooting on location in Bulgaria under the helm of Valeri Milev ('Code Red') and follows on from 2012's 'Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines'. It's a pity they've just missed out on the 10 year anniversary but the new chapter in the series is being lined up for a DVD, Blu-ray and VOD release this coming Autumn/Fall. *full disclosure: an online screener of this film was provided by Full Moon Features. Director/writer: John Lechago. Cast: Trent Haaga, Victoria De Mare, Al Burke, Tai Chan Ngo, John Karyus, Aqueela Zoll, Jason R. Moore, Cecil Burroughs, Randy Mermell, Stephen F. Cardwell, Lisa Goodman, Ian Roberts, and Jessica Whitaker. Killjoy the killer clown returns for a third sequel in Killjoy Goes to Hell. Actor Trent Haaga returns as Killjoy and John Lechago pulls double duty as writer and director. Killjoy Goes to Hell blends campiness with sex appeal and a little bit of violence to create a visually stunning film. Very funny, this latest edition to the series is a truly enjoyable time. This title directly follows the events of the previous film, Killjoy 3. In the previous film, four college students were harassed by an insane demon. Unfortunately for Killjoy, one of his non-studious victims, Sandie (Jessica Whitaker), survived.
