Niels Sabbe (born 28 April 1990) is a Belgian director/screenwriter.
Sabbe graduated from the Royal Institute of Theatre, Cinema & Sound (RITCS) in Brussels. In his early twenties he directed several commercials and made short films 'Hammertime' (2011), 'Nightfall' (2012), 'In Case Of Confidence' (2016) and 'Harley Wheelchair' (2018).
In 2020 Sabbe directed the fiction series 'Meisjes' (Schoolgirls) for Ketnet. Episodes were dropped scene by scene on different dates, assuming the events were happening live. The show later won best fiction at 'Gouden K', the national Kids Awards on Één.
In 2021 he co-directed the telenovela LISA for VTM, which was also sold to TF1. LISA was nominated for the Rose d'Or Award - best multi-episode popular drama and had over 30% market share on opening day.
Later, Sabbe directed four episodes of 2DEZIT, a young adult fiction series, airing on Streamz Belgium in 2022.
