Sundance winner and double Emmy-nominated filmmaker Niobe Thompson's documentaries reach back to our human origins, explore the mysteries of evolution, and tackle the environmental dilemmas of the Anthropocene. Following the 2022 doc "Carbon - The Unauthorized Biography", he directed the 2024 feature "Hunt for the Oldest DNA", which premiered at CPH:DOX and on PBS. A three-time winner of Canada's most prestigious award for science and nature documentaries - the Rob Stewart Award for "Best Science and Nature Program" - Niobe is the founder of British-Columbia based Handful of Films.
