Today, the entire cast, or what we assume is the entire cast, for Avengers: Doomsday, the first Avengers film since Endgame was finally announced. Marvel Studios has announced the Avengers: Doomsday cast and that the highly anticipated film has started production for a May 1, 2026, release. You can watch the almost five-and-a-half hour global live stream of the announcement or a much shorter version online.

Four-time Marvel Studios directors Anthony and Joe Russo return to direct Doomsday, as well as the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars, opening in theaters on May 7, 2027.

The Russos previously announced the film at San Diego Comic-Con 2024, where they revealed that Robert Downey Jr. – who starred in 10 films as Tony Stark – will return in a new role, this time playing the iconic villain Victor von Doom.

Five and a half hours after it began, Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday cast reveal has finally ended. After teasing some big X-Men returns, the video concluded with a chair for Pedro Pascal's Mister Fantastic before a door opened, and Robert Downey Jr. took his seat.

A piece of music played that we have to believe will be Doctor Doom's theme in the upcoming movie; it's epic, foreboding and, as Marvel Studios has said on social media, "It all leads to Doom." It's fitting then that we got Reed Richards right before him.

One of the biggest talking points after today will be the names not included here. There's no Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Mark Ruffalo, or Elizabeth Olsen, for example; perhaps those are surprises or being saved for a future announcement.

On Wednesday, the studio slowly unveiled the cast for the upcoming superhero blockbuster from filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo. During a five-hour and 23-minute live stream, 27 actors were announced as participants, culminating with Robert Downey Jr. appearing in person (the only cast member to do so). Downey, who played Tony Stark in the original Infinity Saga of Marvel Cinematic Universe films, is starring as the villainous Doctor Doom for his Marvel return. At 11 a.m. this morning, the Marvel Studios social media accounts started live-streaming a video they labeled as an all-caps Announcement. The video showed a soundstage where, one by one, chairs reserved for actors were revealed, with a new chair coming into view every 10 minutes or so. As it turns out, this was a very long and slow way of revealing the star-studded cast of Avengers: Doomsday, which is now heading into production and aiming for a May 1, 2026 theatrical release.

The first chair belonged to Chris Hemsworth, who has played Thor, the God of Thunder, in Thor, The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Doctor Strange, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Thor: Love and Thunder. The second chair was reserved for Vanessa Kirby, who plays Susan Storm (a.k.a. Invisible Woman) in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which will be reaching theatres on July 25th.

The network will premiere the original series My Happy Place on April 27 at 10pm Et/Pt. The show follows stars as they reveal why specific destinations have become their sanctuaries.

Each episode will be fronted by a different celebrity, with The Traitors host Alan Cumming opening the Boardwalk Pictures-produced series by taking viewers around the Highlands in Scotland.

Taraji P. Henson will travel to Bali, Indonesia, while Questlove reveals why Austin, Texas, is a source of creative inspiration. Billy Porter’s happy place is Mykonos, Greece, while Octavia Spencer prefers New Orleans, Louisiana. Simu Liu’s dream destination is Bangkok, Thailand.

“Last Breath” (2025) is based on the true story of a 2012 saturation diving accident in which the dynamics system processor of an underwater vessel failed, causing the diver Chris Lemons to spiral out of control. Lemons was separated from his fellow diver, David Yuasa after his umbilical cable was cut during the accident. Yuasa was left to assume that Lemons had perished, as he had only five minutes of breathable oxygen left in his suit at the time. However, his fellow diver Duncan Allcock, who was operating the deep sea exploration ship, was convinced that Lemons was still alive.

These events inspired the nonfiction filmmaker Alex Parkinson to make a documentary, also titled “Last Breath,” in 2019, which was composed of archive footage taken from inside the ship and retrospective interviews conducted with each of the divers. Last Breath has landed a digital release date. Co-written and directed by Alex Parkinson as a remake of his 2019 documentary of the same name, the new survival thriller follows the true story of a team of seasoned deep-sea divers as they battle the raging elements and race against time to rescue their crewmate trapped hundreds of feet below the ocean's surface. The movie stars Woody Harrelson, Simu Liu, Finn Cole, Cliff Curtis, Mark Bonnar, MyAnna Buring, and Josef Altin.

Now, Last Breath will be available to rent or purchase on digital platforms starting tomorrow, March 18. It will also be released on Blu-ray and DVD on April 29. Marvel fans have been eagerly awaiting Shang-Chi’s return since Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings became a hit in 2021. Although a sequel was confirmed early on, its development seems to have stalled, with Simu Liu himself expressing frustration over the delays. However, new rumors suggest that Marvel Studios has big plans for Shang-Chi’s next adventure.

In his latest article, Alex Perez says Simu Liu will return as Shang-Chi in upcoming Avengers films, including Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. In these movies, Wong, the Sorcerer Supreme, will call on him to help fight a major threat.

But what about his solo story? Reports suggest that Shang-Chi 2 will introduce a powerful secret organization—the Atlas Foundation—which could lead to the formation of the Agents of Atlas.

According to The Cosmic Circus, Disney has registered a new production company in the UK - named "Atlas Hall" - for an upcoming Marvel Studios movie. 

They speculate that this could be for an Agents of Atlas-related project or even Thor 5 seeing as Thor: Love and Thunder ended by setting the stage for the God of Thunder to battle Hercules. 

We'll see if more is revealed in the coming months but the site has also shed new light on Shang-Chi's future...and he might just be tied to the mysterious production company mentioned above.

The season 3 finale of Invincible is now streaming on Prime Video, and following one of the most hellacious battles we've seen since the animated series premiered back in 2021, we took a trip to literal Hell for a post-credits scene that not even fans of the comic will have been expecting.

In the stinger, demonic detective Damien Darkblood (Clancy Brown) - who we haven't seen since Cecil banished him back in the first season - summons a more powerful demon voiced by Evil Dead legend Bruce Campbell, and tells him about a "surface dweller" who may be able to restore his master to his former glory.
