Jamie left one of his own book-signing events to meet one of his favorite filmmaker-storytellers, David Lynch.

He unexpectedly met author Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club, Invisible Monsters) in a men's bathroom, twice.

In his earlier days as a professional actor and writer, Jamie unexpectedly met fellow filmmaker Danny DeVito at a local post office. After having read some of his material, Danny enthusiastically encouraged him to write for the screen.

He grew up living in Cranston, Rhode Island.

Jamie, by his own choice, lived in a van for ten weeks exploring the beauty and vast richness of the Pacific Northwest United States, going to sleep and waking up amongst a vibrantly beautiful different landscape each and every day of the experience.

Jamie can play both a left- and right-handed guitar. He grew up in a home where his mother taught music to students of all ages. He was also classically trained during college, learning directly from professors and musicians. He can also sing (tenor), and play a variety of other instruments.

He is an award-winning chess player.

Is of Scotch-Irish, Ukrainian, French, Italian, Greek, Turkish descent.

Jamie had worked several years as a draftsman, land surveyor, and civil and environmental engineer before switching gears and pursuing his career as a professional artist. "The stars were all in alignment for me to make the decision and run with it.".

His great-grandmother, an American silent film actress, flew with the Wright Brothers.

Jamie also had the surreal pleasure of living in Irwin Winkler's Valley house for a year, while finishing up a screenwriting gig.

Jamie has repeatedly said that meeting one of his heroes, Gary Oldman, at a private screening of his "Darkest Hour" piece, is one of those pivotal moments in ones life where everything truly begins to make sense.
