Erik Bloomquist is a two-time New England Emmy® Award Winner (Outstanding Writer and Director) and former Top 200 Director on HBO's Project Greenlight (2001) known for his work as series creator, executive producer, writer, director, editor, and lead actor on The Cobblestone Corridor (2016).
Erik's feature films (running the gamut from erotic thriller to action horror to teen movie musical) have played at prominent festivals around the world (including FrightFest, Screamfest, Hollyshorts, Brussels Internationanl Fantastic Film Festival, Grimmfest, and Popcorn Frights), boasted nationwide theatrical releases, and been distributed internationally.
As an actor, Erik's regional theatre productions include the world premiere of Rear Window (starring Kevin Bacon), the American premiere of Calendar Girls, and Tony-winner Darko Tresnjak's celebrated mounting of Hamlet at Hartford Stage.
Erik graduated cum laude from Trinity College in Hartford, CT with a B.A. in Theatre and Dance and is an alumnus of the London Dramatic Academy in London, England. He has served on faculty at Trinity College, as Artist-in-Residence at Avon Old Farms School, and as a master class instructor throughout New England.
