Academy Award winner Marcia Gay Harden, Academy Award nominee Virginia Madsen, Paris Jackson and Skeet Ulrich are among the latest to join the ensemble cast of Catherine Hardwicke’s “Street Smart.”

Skylar Astin, Sally Struthers and Tyson Ritter have also signed on to the feature, which centers on a group of unhoused young adults in Venice, Calif., and the eccentric characters they interact with.

They join previously announced stars Isabelle Fuhrman, Yara Shahidi, Michael Cimino, Daniel Zovatto, Kaitlyn Kemp, Miles McKenna, Sylvester Powell, Harvey Guillén and pro skateboarder Isiah Hilt. Colleen Camp, Rio Mangini, Bevin Bru and JJ Green board the project in supporting roles.

Catherine Hardwicke’s new film Street Smart has rounded out its supporting cast with seven actors: Skeet Ulrich (Scream), Paris Jackson (American Horror Stories), Skylar Astin (So Help Me Todd), Marcia Gay Harden (Mystic River), Virginia Madsen (Prey for the Devil Sideways), Sally Struthers (All in the Family), Tyson Ritter (Preacher). Production recently concluded in Los Angeles.

The drama feature heralds Hardwicke’s return to her storytelling roots from such past work as Lords of Dogtown and Thirteen, while revisiting her exploration of found-family dynamics in Twilight. She co-wrote Street Smart with New York Times bestselling author and screenwriter Nic Sheff.

Street Smart offers a gripping look into the lives of a lively group of unhoused young adults in the iconic beach town of Venice, CA. They come together with humor and a bit of Robin Hood-style larceny, forging unbreakable bonds and redefining what it means to be a family.

New photos from the upcoming horror film The Possession of Gladstone Manor, directed by Asher Levin, offer fans a glimpse into its intense, Lovecraftian nightmare.

Per Dread Central, new images were unveiled today that showcase the eerie scary atmosphere inherent in the upcoming haunted house horror. The photos also provide a close-up look at horror movie legend Lin Shaye, who also appears in the film. Shaye is most known for playing the memorable character of Elise Rainier in the hugely popular Insidious horror film franchise. This includes the original Insidious from 2010, and the most recent installment, Insidious: The Red Door, which is a direct sequel to Insidious: Chapter 2.

The popular horror franchise Insidious has just set a release date for its sixth installment.

The other photos also showcase a look at the frightening exterior and interior of the haunted Gladstone Manor home itself from the film.

Paramount+ premiered the werewolf horror series “Wolf Pack” back in January 2023, and TV Line reports tonight that the series has already been cancelled after just one season.

TV Line reports, “Last summer’s dual Hollywood strikes were the final nail in Wolf Pack‘s coffin. According to sources, a potential second season would not have been ready for nearly two years after the conclusion of Season 1.”

Despite sharing a creator and exploring very similar concepts (werewolves and abs), the new Paramount+ series Wolf Pack is not a spinoff of MTV’s Teen Wolf.

This much was made clear when the streamer launched a social media campaign called — wait for it — #NotASpinoff.

Fans of Teen Wolf were given an almighty treat during Brazil's Comic Con Xperience (Ccxp) on Sunday.

Oh, and there was even a treat for potential fans of Wolf Pack, the new series from the Jeff Davis, the creator of Teen Wolf.

Both Teen Wolf and Wolf Pack are set to premiere Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 exclusively on the service in the U.S. and Canada.

The film, written and produced by Jeff Davis, will premiere the following day on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023 on Paramount+ in the U.K. and Australia.

In Latin America and Brazil, the film will be available early next year. Premiere dates for other Paramount+ international markets will be announced at a later date.

The film, which was written and produced by Jeff Davis, is set to premiere on Jan. 26, 2023 on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada.

“A full moon resizes in Beacon Hills, and with it, a terrifying evil has emerged,” reads a description of the movie via a press release. “The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of banshees, werecoyotes, hellhounds, kitsunes and every other shapeshifter in the night. The “Teen Wolf” movie has a premiere date!

The anticipated film, which members of the original cast, will drop Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada, it was announced Friday at New York Comic Con. It will be available on the streaming service the following day on Friday, Jan. 27 in the U.K., Latin America and Australia.

Release dates for other international territories will be announced later.

The CW’s take on The Lost Boys appears to be cursed. The show is intended to be a contemporary TV reboot of the classic 1987 movie, giving us sexy young vampires looking dead cool, having sexy blood-sucking times and floating extremely creepily in a pretty resort town. What could go wrong? Well, quite a lot, as it turns out.

The show had recently begun shooting a pilot episode, only for the Covid-19 pandemic to shut the production down. But material was filmed and The CW executives have now had an opportunity to review the footage, and it seems they’re not particularly enthused with what they’ve seen.

As such, it’s being reported that The Lost Boys is being “rolled,” meaning it’ll be now be reevaluated as a prospect for the 2021/22 season. This may indicate that when lockdown restrictions lift, the show won’t be heading back before...

The CW’s pilot for The Lost Boys is taking shape. The show will be a fresh take on the classic 1987 movie of the same name, presumably featuring a new family arriving in Santa Carla and realizing that the nightlife has a little more bite than they were expecting.

The series is being helmed by Heather Mitchell and Rob Thomas, who share an impressive resume that includes Scandal, Veronica Mars and iZombie. And now, Deadline is reporting that Branden Cook (Industry), Lincoln Younes (Grand Hotel) and Ruby Cruz (Castle Rock) have been cast as the show’s leads.

Branden Cook will play the main character, Garrett. He’s the oldest brother in the family that’s moved to the seaside town, and the one who’s slowly drawn into its vampiric subculture. Lincoln Younes is taking over the Kiefer Sutherland character Benjamin, presenting a seductive image of freedom and immortal youth.

Two weeks ago, it was all change for The CW and its TV revival of The Lost Boys.

Despite drafting together an exciting ensemble cast for the planned pilot, and shooting said pilot episode in May of this year, the Powers That Be ordered The Lost Boys back to the drawing board soon after the first test footage emerged. Put simply, The CW’s top brass were impressed with the script, but believed the execution was lacking.

And so began a total overhaul, after it was announced that the network would recast its Lost Boys revival, sparing just two actors: Medalion Rahimi and Dakota Shapiro. The former is attached to the part of Stella (essentially an updated version of the Star character from ’87), while Shapiro is David.

But rest assured, as Rob Thomas tells EW, The Lost Boys reboot is nearing the warm light of day.

Just when you thought The CW’s TV reboot of The Lost Boys was gaining some momentum, Deadline brings word that the project has effectively been sent back to the drawing board – recasting all but two roles.

Then there’s Del Zamora (Mayans Mc), who will play Frank Garcia, Lucy’s father, “a cantankerous old hippie who owns a beloved local bed and breakfast. In spite of his laid-back appearance, he’s a strict disciplinarian who probably knows more about the dark side of town than he cares to tell.”

Casting on The Lost Boys TV show is really beginning to heat up – and fast.

Earlier this month, for instance, we brought you the news that The CW had cast Sarah Hay, Cheyanne Haynes and Haley Tju as the infamous Frog Sisters, who now join an ensemble cast comprised of Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey, Kiele Sanchez, Medalion Rahimi (Still Star-Crossed) and Dakota Shapiro. Not bad, right?

But that’s not all: Per Deadline, it’s been confirmed that Del Zamora (Mayans Mc) and Rio Mangini (Everything Sucks!) have also climbed aboard The Lost Boys as series regulars, with the latter star poised to step into the shoes left vacant by the late, great Corey Haim. Yes, that’s right; he’ll be playing Sam Emerson in The CW’s pilot episode – itself based on the 1987 movie of the same name – though no further details on Mangini’s character were revealed at the time.
