What does one do with the craziness of Kanika Kapoor?

Amidst all the beery, blaring bacchanalia and shrieks of inebriated joy Thank You For Coming has a sensitive heart beating gently, reminding women that the biological clock need not dictate the way they lead their lives.

Bhumi Pednekar, in a rousing performance, plays Kanika Kapoor the youngest in a family of women where the grandmother (Dolly Ahluwalia) is chilled out but in a restrained way. The mother played with passionate intensity by Natasha Rastogi is the wild one.

There is a visible dearth of chick flicks, and more so, films that celebrate woman and womanhood happen few and far between. ‘Thank You For Coming’ is one such film with a gang of girls who smash the patriarchy and share such a bond that they talk about everything – life, life-partners, individual problems and so much more. For the uninitiated, the pun in the title might be a hint for the audience, especially the extrovert females, about a sense of what they can expect – female friendships, relationships, marriage, dating, sex, orgasms, et al.

While the film's large cast limits in-depth exploration, Pednekar's standout performance and the movie's big heart make it a delightful and enjoyable watch.

The much awaited trailer of Thank You For Coming released today and fans can’t keep calm. The trailer just received good reviews. Makers of the upcoming film ‘Thank You For Coming’ on Tuesday unveiled a new poster of actor Bhumi Pednekar.

Bhumi shared the poster which she captioned, “When the ending is before the beginning..Don’t forget to watch #ThankYouForComing. Trailer out on 6th Sept, 1:50 Pm.”

The upcoming film ‘Thank You For Coming’, which stars Bhumi Pednekar, has been selected for its world premiere at the soon-to-be-held edition of the Toronto International Film Festival. The film is a coming of age comedy directed by Karan Boolani and written by Radhika Anand and Prashasti Singh.

‘Thank You For Coming’ will be screened at the festival on September 15, 2023 at the Roy Thomson Hall.

The film also stars Shehnaaz Gill, Dolly Singh, Kusha Kapila, Shibani Bedi, Pradhuman Singh Mall, Natasha Rastogi, Gautmik, Sushant Divgikar, Saloni Daini, Dolly Ahluwalia, Karan Kundrra and Anil Kapoor in a special appearance.
