Only a month after its release, Fubar was officially renewed for a second season. The action comedy series had eight episodes and the audience enjoyed seeing Arnold in another badass role. Here’s what we know about the upcoming second season of Fubar including cast and filming details.

“Fubar” has been renewed for Season 2 at Netflix. The announcement was made by star Arnold Schwarzenegger on Saturday at the Netflix Tudum event.

“Fubar” debuted its eight-episode first seasonon May 25, and follows a C.I.A. operative Luke Brunner (Schwarzenegger) who discovers a family secret that pulls him back into the field and delays his retirement plans.

Following the May premiere, “Fubar” opened with 88.94 million hours viewed in its first four days of availability.

Alongside Schwarzenegger’s return, “Fubar” also stars Monica Barbaro as Emma Brunner, Fortune Feimster as Roo, Jay Baruchel as Carter, Aparna Brielle as Tina, Andy Buckley as Donnie, Barbara Eve Harris as Dot, Gabriel Luna as Boro, Milan Carter as Barry, Fabiana Udenio as Tally and Travis Van Winkle as Aldon. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first TV series is getting a second season.

Netflix announced Saturday at its Tudum fan event in Sao Paulo that it has renewed Fubar for season two. The pickup comes about three weeks after the show’s premiere.

Fubar stars Schwarzenegger as a CIA operative who discovers that his daughter (Monica Barbaro) also works for the agency. They’re forced into a reluctant partnership in the action comedy created by Nick Santora (Reacher, Scorpion).

The series premiered on May 25 and became Netflix’s most watched show for that week. Since its release it has amassed 219 million hours of viewing worldwide, according to the streamer’s internal metrics.

Along with Schwarzenegger and Barbaro, Fubar’s cast includes Jay Baruchel, Fortune Feimster, Milan Carter, Travis Van Winkle, Gabriel Luna, Andy Buckley, Aparna Brielle, Barbara Eve Harris and Fabiana Udenio.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first TV series, the action comedy “Fubar,” has been renewed for Season 2 at Netflix, the streamer announced at their global Tudum event in Brazil on Saturday.

The action star, who is also an executive producer on the series, plays a CIA operative on the verge of retirement who is forced to go back into the field for one last job and is forced to team up with his estranged daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro), who is also an agent.

The series debuted with all eight-episodes. on May 25.

“Fubar” costars Jay Baruchel, Milan Carter, Gabriel Luna, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Fabiana Udenio, Barbara Eve Harris, Aparna Brielle, and Andy Buckley.

Well, we can file this one under the least surprising TV news of the year.

Netflix has confirmed it is staying in business with Arnold Schwarzenegger with the pickup of Fubar Season 2.

The series got off the ground running for the streaming service in May, vaulting to the #1 spot in the weekly Netflix Top 10.

Any project featuring the Terminator alum will perform well, and it's because he's a global star.

Fubar reached the Top 10 in 90 countries worldwide, solidifying its renewal after a decent reaction to the episodes from viewers.

It's unclear when Fubar season 2 will actually premiere, but it probably won't be in production in the near future.

The WGA strike will delay several projects, so the writing won't resume until a fair deal is reached.

Netflix confirmed Fubar's fate during the Tudum Global Fan Event, which also included an Elite Season 7 premiere date, a Witcher Sneak Peek, and so much more.

Review: Over the six decades of his acting career, Arnold Schwarzenegger has been in comedies, dramas, action movies, and horror flicks, but until now, he has not starred in a television series. With streaming services now as robust as any movie studio, the biggest names in Hollywood have headlined their own small-screen shows. Schwarzenegger’s Netflix series Fubar tries to replicate the best elements of the iconic actor’s filmography by blending action and humor with some new blood in the form of Top Gun: Maverick star Monica Barbaro. Fubar aims high but feels barely more than a network television spy series that could have been so much better considering the talent involved.

Released three decades ago, perhaps Last Action Hero was just too far ahead of its time. Directed by John McTiernan, the film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as both himself and Jack Slater, the main character of a fictional action movie franchise. Luke Brunner, the CIA operative played by Schwarzenegger, who is 75, is described as being 65. He is on the eve of retirement when they pull him back in to infiltrate the Guyana compound of arms dealer Boro (Gabriel Luna), a guy so brutal that he kills an associate on stage at an outdoor party and orders the blood-splattered band to keep playing.

Also in Guyana is Luke’s do-gooder daughter, Emma. Unbeknownst to her father, she is also a CIA operative and so deeply embedded in Boro’s world that she has become his favorite fight-club competitor.
