Fan favorite action icon Jean-Claude Van Damme is set to star in the action feature Silent Kill, Deadline has reported. The movie is helmed by Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth fame Anthony Hickox, who also penned down the screenplay. The film will follow four mercenaries who find a hidden treasure in the Congo and decide to bury it and to meet back at the same spot in three years to split the fortune evenly. However, things don’t go as planned and take a different turn. Along with Van Damme, the movie also features NFL star-turned-actor Vernon Davis, Rafael Amaya, and Madalina Anea.

Jean-Claude Van Damme is going to the Congo but not to hunt the Gray Gorillas. The mega-pliable action star is joining the cast of Silent Kill, an upcoming action film directed and written by Anthony Hickox. According to Deadline, Silent Kill follows four mercenaries searching the Congo for hidden treasure. After finding the goods, the group buries the treasure and agrees to return three years later to split the winnings. As you can imagine, the plan goes awry.

Former NFL star Vernon Davis, Rafael Amaya, and Madalina Anea star alongside Van Damme, who also produces with Joram Moreka. Andrea Iervolino, Monika Bacardi, Ovidiu Toma, and Bradly Gentz produce.

Exclusive: Action icon Jean-Claude Van Damme (Kickboxer) is set to star in action feature Silent Kill, which Iervolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment will be introducing to buyers at this week’s American Film Market.

Anthony Hickox (Hellraiser III) wrote the screenplay and will direct the film, which will follow four mercenaries who find a hidden treasure in the Congo. They bury it and agree to meet back at the same spot in three years and split the fortune evenly, but things take a different turn.

Starring alongside Van Damme will be NFL star-turned-actor Vernon Davis (Gasoline Alley), Rafael Amaya (The Lord of Skies) and Madalina Anea (Watcher).

Van Damme and Joram Moreka are producing the film. Executive producers are Andrea Iervolino, Monika Bacardi, Ovidiu Toma and Bradly Gentz. Principal photography is due to commence in early Q1, 2023.

Iervolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment, the firm run by Iervolino and Bacardi, is handling world sales at AFM.

Shortly after Chloe Okuno’s “Watcher” begins, Julia (Maika Monroe) asks her husband to wake her before he goes to work the next morning. But when she gets up the day is half gone, and all he did was send Julia a text with a creepy picture of her sleeping, insisting that she was just too danged pretty to listen to her.

Needless to say, this is not a man who’s going to believe his wife when she says she’s being stalked by a serial killer.

“Watcher” is a harsh and lonely thriller about a woman who moves to Romania to be with her husband, Francis when he gets a new job. Unlike Francis, she doesn’t speak the language. She’s trying to learn, but for now she’s dependent on locals who happen to understand English or her husband’s translations, which she assumes are accurate and flattering.
